I feel like adding tie’s to the MLB would just be a fucking slog. I don’t think there is any good solution, playing the game until someone finally wins kills bullpens and can encourage stupid stuff like more position players pitching, ties suck and change the math on winning the division, and the Manfred man introduces a run/runner that is not on base because of offense lol.

Im not saying that you mentioned hockey, im pointing out how It’s a pretty close comparison, but thank you for informing me that its different sports I didn’t know. Anyhow, in season, they do shootouts and games end in ties if not decided. Overtime rules change in playoffs to where they continue to play until it’s decided. Kind of like, I dunno, extra innings changing in baseball from Manfred man to a straight up play until it’s over. Except in your scenario you would prefer a tie in season instead of the Manfred man. It’s kind of funny because on one hand you are saying do it like hockey and end in a tie in the season, but at the same time don’t do it like hockey and change the overtime rules in the playoffs

It sucks when your team blows their challenges and then the umps get really generous in the strike zone. It feels like there should be some sort of override if something is really egregious but I’m not sure how it would be implemented. I don’t think there would be a sky ump like in football who would auto change a call

To be completely honest, I think asking him simply to be a league replacement player would be bare minimum for me.

This year has been really nice from AB, but he has been worth 0.7 WAR over four years while playing for the biggest contract this organization has ever issued. Thanks for 26 but I am not even close to admitting he has been worth the contract

Just glancing at schedules, Guardians have what would be the “easiest”. None of it is easy, each team has a gauntlet. Detroit has dodgers Toronto Tampa and the Sox, twins have Atlanta NYY Texas and the Sox, and Guardians have Toronto Boston and the Sox(SF if you want to count them, I think they have been playing better) The Sox just need to keep doing what they have been doing, and each one of their competitors have to leapfrog each other while playing each other, and then the Sox

They have 3 days off between now and the end of the season, I don’t think these guys want to jam one or both of the cubs games into one of those days off It’s pretty disappointing that even in this surprise season you can’t even really enjoy it and have to provide “don’t get swept” into a thread after they just swept a team that was nipping on their heels
