QUOTE (KipWellsFan @ Feb 28, 2009 -> 01:24 AM) This isn't directed by Del Toro by the way, so don't get too excited. I know, he had a hand in the production. And for that I will get a little excited
  2. Apparently Curt Schilling thinks he can solve the Cubs World Series problem
  3. QUOTE (rangercal @ Feb 28, 2009 -> 08:10 PM) Just trying a topic that has not been replicated 5 times already (apologies to once a month beer poll threads) Obviously we will not know our literal future of the next 50 years ,so this is a hypothetical question. Some of us have been members here for a while, a few since 2002(old timers) . Do you still see yourself as a member of this site when you're old and wearing diapers? My take I'm a sox fan and always will be a sox fan. I will always want access to the quickest source of white sox news. Currently, my quickest source for sox related news is soxtalk, has been for more than a few years. If the quality of the forum stays the same for 50 years, why would I not come here? I have also witnessed Soxtalk faster than Rotoworld on certain major sports news. I'm sure those of you who talk politics in the Filibuster can confirm soxtalk is a good source for breaking news in general. I have to thank posters like Kalapse,Steve,Knightni for breaking news quick. Even when its Amare/Kobe stories that turned out to be a waste of time. If there is a story that will be reported on ESPN, it is sure enought to get reported on soxtalk 15 minutes prior. I would also like to thank Kyyle23 for this thread on a Derek Bell mugshot that was released 2 years prior to your thread. lol jk Btw, I can seriously see Carl pick option #5 I aim to please. I liked my last post on that thread, it was validated.
  4. QUOTE (longshot7 @ Feb 27, 2009 -> 06:14 PM) On another note, I'm impressed by the new U2 album. It's different, but I'm digging it. well it must be good since you know about music
  5. QUOTE (Scwible @ Feb 27, 2009 -> 11:54 PM) A few more.... that picture of danks looks like his left arm is growing off his right elbow
  6. I hope the kid just comes in all guns blazing so we can stop reading stuff like "It would have taken a Crede-esque dive at the ball to get it" This is going to be a year that will be annoying with Comparisons on this site. "Crede would have made that play", "Its too bad we dont still have Vazquez in the 5th starter spot", "Uribe's defense would be nice off the bench"
  7. QUOTE (Cubano @ Feb 27, 2009 -> 11:52 PM) Does anybody have the link for Viciedo HR? Thanks, I dont think it is anywhere. I waited last night on sportsnight and they just talked about it, no video highlights
  8. beer town, brew town, same difference
  9. QUOTE (SnB @ Feb 26, 2009 -> 06:46 PM) whats the cheapest place to get an auxiliary cable for my ipod in the car? radioshack? A friend of mine said that without a doubt monoprice.com is the cheapest place on the web for cables and whatnot. He was telling me that his HD cables for his Wii and PS3 were 2.99 each as opposed to 20 bucks and above at best buy etc
  10. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Feb 27, 2009 -> 02:43 PM) Addressing the RT position is definitely a step in the right direction... Omiyale probably picks the Bears because he will be able to start here. Hopefully Chris Williams and Omiyale will solidy those spots... if not the bears will be in trouble. I wonder if Jerry Angelo would consider trading for Derrek Anderson. It looks like the Browns are trying to get rid of some of their economic waste, and Anderson must be a costly back-up for them. Its unclear how good Anderson might be, but it wouldn't hurt to have another QB with experience in camp to challenge/push Orton. Derek Anderson had a season ending knee injury in the last game of the season of which he was benched because he was clearly regressing. I really hope the Bears do NOT explore this option
  11. On a side note, how much money has DeAngelo Hall pillaged in the last three seasons. Holy cow, 54 million?
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 27, 2009 -> 08:50 AM) I thought the cap in the NFL was hard? If not, what does the penalty for going over look like? Im trying to dig it up right now, this is the best I can find so far, feel free to add to it http://www.docsports.com/current/nfl-salar...-rules-031.html http://andrewsstarspage.com/CBA/12-14cba.htm
  13. QUOTE (SoxFan101 @ Feb 27, 2009 -> 08:12 AM) I dont quite understand or believe that, but regardless what a sad day for the Bulls. The weird thing is both guys were starting to bug me towards the end but now that they are gone, Im a lil crushed. the Bulls were nothing before Red Kerr, is what that means. Kerr rooted the franchise, Jordan made it grow into something spectacular
  14. QUOTE (SoxFan101 @ Feb 27, 2009 -> 08:10 AM) How is it the Redskins are able to throw so much money around than any other team seemingly with a salary cap. It was just a pipedream but doesnt mean I wasnt imagining a Tommie Harris/Albert Haynesworth duo terrorizing QB's. they just pay the penalty for being over the cap and move on
  15. Dan Snyder strikes again. It is really unreal how he just throws top dollar at everything in sight. I thought he was supposed to be some great businessman
  16. Floyd will be in the minors soon. I cant believe they are leaving him out there
  17. I noticed lately that Norm wasnt as boisterous and demonstrative as I was used to. He didnt seem to have that energy that I knew
  18. Damn shame that they stuck him in the studio when Red Kerr was being honored the other day. Thats a mistake they can never make up for now

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 26, 2009 -> 01:16 PM) Did you see Pan's Labirynth? Twisted indeed. I think his first big US film was Mimic, right? Considering that he had to work with a patently absurd and laughable premise, and a horrible script (especially the ending), I was impressed at how effective he managed to be with presenting the creatures as strangely believable. I loved Pans Labrynth. I found myself watching it on HBO-L the other day with no subtitles and I didnt even care, and I dont even understand spanish. Not even a little bit. I really loved both Hellboy movies as well
  20. QUOTE (longshot7 @ Feb 26, 2009 -> 12:56 PM) Nirvana - there's no one else even close. except there is

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 26, 2009 -> 01:09 PM) I normally don't do horror flicks, as most of them are just bad (IMO). But I have to say, this looks intriguing. And I do like del Toro's stuff. Del Toro is the new Jim Henson if you ask me. With quite a twisted side, of course.

I just saw some neat screenshots from a new horror movie coming out called Splice, here is the description some neat pics here http://screenrant.com/finally-update-splice-images-vic-5742/ edit: dont know why I used the word "neat" twice
  23. QUOTE (thedoctor @ Feb 26, 2009 -> 08:41 AM) in today's "water is wet" new, indians closer kerry wood is hurt. cleveland plain dealer LMAO, I like how the Plain Dealer is already leary of the KWood injury scenarios. Wedge sounds like he is reading from the Cubs 10 year script of how to deflect injury questions about KWood
  24. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Feb 25, 2009 -> 01:55 PM) welcome back farmio and DJ weird hearing DJ but not seeing his face meh, we only saw his face once or twice during the broadcast anyways
