QUOTE (Heads22 @ Feb 15, 2009 -> 02:16 PM) 12 drinks in 2 hours for a 135 pound kid with the tolerance of a seventh grade girl, and trying to get into a fight with a guy much bigger than me for calling me a f** after i gave my best friend a hug..... yeah, i nearly died. thats the first time i've ever gotten drunk enough that i honestly do not remember most of the night. Did you drink anything you dont normally drink? Tequila blacks me out, every time. It also gives me hangovers that make me wish I was dead.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Feb 15, 2009 -> 01:47 PM) When is it on? And McBride is in quite a few other movies. He's hilarious in all of them. I suggest people see Hot Rod, starring Andy Samberg. The movie is great, and so is McBride. Tonite at 10:30 eastern I am surprised you liked Hot Rod, I thought it was funny but I thought i was one of the few

It is premiering tonite, I think there might be some interest on this site http://www.hbo.com/eastboundanddown/ Its basically about a baseball player Kenny Powers ( played by Danny McBride, Red in Pineapple Express) who torpedoes himself out of baseball and ends up living with his brother and sister in law. I was cracking up watching the preview last weekend, i think this is gonna be a keeper

QUOTE (G&T @ Feb 15, 2009 -> 08:43 AM) First of all, you are comparing the enforcement policies of a nation to this particular police department of which we know little about. Do you know the normal enforcement policies of this department or of South Carolina? Even ignoring that, the internet can be a jurisdictional landmine. Someone from Chicago can post a picture of himself smoking up god knows where. Jurisdiction exists where the criminal act occurred, not where the suspect resides. That makes these case very difficult, not to mention the possibility of fake pictures and photo shopping. So, no, I don't think it's selective enforcement because this is an obvious case where Phelps admitted to what was going on and it is clear whose jurisdiction applied. On top of that, you have that idiot trying to profit off the criminal activity. Honestly, what do you want them to do? The idiot trying to sell the bong totally deserves to be prosecuted, I cant imagine a dumber thing being done. And I completely agree that the internet is a jurisdictional landmine, which makes you wonder why the police dept wants to get up on their high horse because a celebrity is involved. Come on, there has to be someone at the university of S Carolina who has posted plenty of pics of himself/herself smoking up on the internet, and all the sudden this police department wants to get involved and hand out misdemeanor tickets to Phelps. Its just stupid. It isnt a case of trying to catch a dealer -
QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Feb 10, 2009 -> 01:28 AM) You've never heard of Polar Bear? Every year Pinch opens up the beer garden in the first weekend of February and sells nothing but Coronas. Cali's is a bar right down from Pinch. Its a relatively new thing. It wasnt around when I left in 2004

QUOTE (G&T @ Feb 14, 2009 -> 08:34 PM) Internet pictures are not as simple a prospect in police investigation as you make them out to be. For the most part, it is difficult to determine where the activity occurred, thus whose jurisdiction applies. If the police could easily know, they probably would go after everyone. . . especially in a state where first time possession is still criminal. Here, the police know where the use and possession took place and South Carolina has relatively steep anti-marijuana laws. On top of that, you had that idiot selling the bong on E-Bay. This type of crap is basically taunting the police. Fact is, you think the law sucks and you want the police to selectively enforce the law. Doesn't matter what few charges they end up with, it's their job to investigate. I take a fairly liberal view on marijuana, but I don't ridicule police for doing their job. BTW, if the taxpayers don't want their money wasted, tell them to change the law. This wouldn't happen in Massachusetts or California. Isnt that exactly what they are doing, selectively enforcing the law? Why dont they go ahead and go after every pothead that Facebook and Myspace have to offer? -

QUOTE (G&T @ Feb 14, 2009 -> 07:45 PM) ...yeah...that's what I said...or even implied. I guess the police should do nothing to enforce laws. Grand idea. Or better yet, maybe the police should pick and choose which internet pothead picture they should go after, in order of perceived celebrity, what an even greater idea. I mean, if you see someone smoking in a picture, then they obviously can get you the name of a dealer who you can bring down, everyone will rat everyone out and all will be well in the world. This is a 15 seconds of fame by this police department, they are going to make a lot of grand statements and in the end someone is going to get busted for misdemeanor possession and thats it, POSSIBLY intent to distribute but very doubtful considering they have a picture of a guy pulling a bong, and not actual proof of possession or any actual marijuana as it is. In fact, the only thing they have is bong residue. Its a waste of taxpayer dollars in the name of fame. -

QUOTE (G&T @ Feb 14, 2009 -> 08:42 AM) The cops know they have a great chance to track down a dealer who could face serious charges. You can blame the sheriff or you can blame the law. Fact is, it's their job to investigate. Great chance? Come on, thats like saying if you arrest anyone who is smoking dope that you have a great chance of tracking down a dealer. It just isnt true, there are so many middle men and such that wont rat out the big guy, they are going to arrest some fratboy who is dealing small amounts and make him the fall guy for Michael Phelps smoking a bong. Its just ridiculous -

I just got Deadly Creatures, its a pretty fun(and creepy) game. Billy Bob Thornton and Dennis Hopper narrating the game is just cool I also got Monster Lab last night as well. Its pretty fun, you create your own monster through 3 different methods (build one in the work shop, create one in the biolab, conjure one up in the alchemist lab) and mix and match body parts and zap them to life. Then you send your monster out into the world to battle other monsters terrorizing towns to collect more pieces to build better monsters. The monster battles are turn based and are pretty fun. I expected this to be a game strictly for my daughter, but we are both into it, its a fun game

Here's what I don't understand from KW's perspective

QUOTE (Reddy @ Feb 12, 2009 -> 11:52 AM) fair enough, the market is/was saturated w/ corner OF. i guess i'm just really confused in general about how this offseason went down across the board. WHY was Dunn so undesirable? Abreu? All the bigger named guys who havent or JUST recently signed? i'm just amazed how we completely avoided upgrading the starting rotation and are accepting Owens in CF. I think most of these late signees were set on getting X amount of money this offseason, and when it wasnt coming, they all tried to play the "wait for the first domino to fall" game so they could get the contracts they desired. When the first domino never fell, they all have started scrambling for what they could get before the team wallets became empty -

QUOTE (Reddy @ Feb 12, 2009 -> 11:34 AM) i disagree, there were plenty of options at one point or another - and options that were CHEAP. why DIDN'T we trade Dye? In my book, the best thing we could've done was trade him (plus whatever) for a starter and signed a CHEAP ASS Adam Dunn. You are assuming someone else would take on his contract when they could also explore the CHEAP ASS options on the free agent market -
What happens at Wrigley(curses, goats, lack of playoff victories/world series appearances), Stays at Wrigley. Makes perfect sense to me

QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Feb 12, 2009 -> 09:45 AM) maybe its positive spin coming from the bulls people... but from what the media has portrayed, the Lakers were never seriously considering moving Kobe. If thats true, than the only thing you can blame Pax for is not killing the speculation earlier -- because it obviously had an effect on this team early on in the year. Well, we could replace it with "Pau Gasol" or "Kevin Garnett", there have been too many no brainer trades that the Bulls didnt jump on in the past couple years. Any time a trade doesnt happen, GMs always insist it was just speculation, but where there is smoke, there is fire
