Stark Says Sox Signed Van Benschoten
Kyyle23 replied to Wise Master Buehrle's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (R.J. @ Dec 4, 2008 -> 08:57 PM) Cantu's a pretty mediocre option (I like the term "not threadworthy") but if he'd come as cheap as Wilingham and Olsen, then come along. LOL -
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Dec 5, 2008 -> 08:15 AM) The Ozzy thread makes me wonder... How hilarious would it be to have a reality show involving Ozzy and Ozzie? I mean, two of the least understandable people in the limelight, both with tempers, trying to understand the words coming out of the other one's mouth. How could that not be funny? Cheech and Chong meets Abbott and Costello. I like it

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Dec 5, 2008 -> 08:09 AM) Most radio is done with a 5 second dump loop or the like, so yeah, I'm sure they'll have a finger on the button. Normally its 7 seconds(i worked radio for 5 years), but personally I would give Ozzie a bigger bump because of his tendency to string together words and profanities so quickly. Rock Momola will have a quite the time cleaning it up
-
I wonder if they put Ozzie on a 10-20 second delay

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 4, 2008 -> 04:59 PM) Didnt he resign? Apparently the booster that tried to hire someone behind Tubbys back in 2003 has "recommended" the resignation. http://deadspin.com/5101925/do-not-mess-wi...urn-coachs-wife -
QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 4, 2008 -> 05:44 PM) One thing to keep in mind about Sheets: prior to the Sox trading for Garcia about 5 years ago, KW's main target was said to be Sheets. KW made the right move 5 years ago. Sheets may have a world of talent, but he is one injury after another

My favorite MarioParty will always be #4. For some reason all of my friends agree it was the most fun. Although in MP8, I really like the Monopoly level

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 4, 2008 -> 11:09 AM) Stone talked about Bobby and JD going to the Mets in a Fernando Martinez deal. Martinez is better than Carlos Gomez and has tremendous power potential. Didn't say the likelihood of the deal. A guy he doesn't think would be in the deal is John Niece, but he'd love if the Sox got him, and he thinks the Sox WOULD get Bobby Parnell if a deal were consumated. Pretty much nothing, heading to phone calls after a break. Thats usually funny with Stoney. It almost always starts with Cubs calls, then trickles to White Sox calls. There is one jilted Cubs fan that tries to get a shot or two in on Stone for calling games with him, I usually catch him once or twice a month while listening to B&B

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 4, 2008 -> 10:25 AM) Mario Party 8 IGN rating: 5.4 Wario Ware IGN rating: 8.3 Let me know, I havent had any luck with the Wario games at all.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Dec 4, 2008 -> 10:00 AM) I really like the Wii and all, but I really feel like Nintendo sold out, literally. Don't get me wrong, what they did was f***ing brilliant and all, but I just feel like I'm a peripheral to their target audience anymore. Their audience is obviously non-gamers and casual gamers. I dont know about that. The way I look at it, they are looking directly at me. Im far from the casual gamer, but I am also far from the hardcore gamer. I dont stay up all night playing COD and HALO, but I definitely put my time in playing games like Mario Galaxy, Zelda, and now I am downloading older games I used to love to play (Super Ghouls and Ghosts, Super Mario 1 and 3), as well as playing WiiWare games that are only available for download and are basically tester games. as always, time will tell if they truly sold out, when we look back at what the system provided and how popular it really was.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 4, 2008 -> 09:35 AM) The mini games might suck, but my buddy who is coming over says he played it and it's hilarious. Plus, Wario Ware is $10. Cant argue with that. Go crazy. Although there may be a good reason why its only 10 bucks
-
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 4, 2008 -> 09:23 AM) I'm picking up the newer Wario Ware game this afternoon for a mini party I'm having tomorrow night. You might want to grab Mario Party 8 AND Wario Ware and give them both a test drive. I have always liked the Mario Party games, but conversely I have always thought the Wario Ware games have sucked. Mostly because all of the mini games seem like crappy DS ports

If no other pitchers are acquired, after the Vaz trade...

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Dec 4, 2008 -> 09:16 AM) To be fair, a lot of people said that about Gavin Floyd also (not that I'm saying Marquez is going to be the next Gavin Floyd here, but my guess is they'll teach Marquez a cutter at least). Among many many other things, No balls, cant get ML hitters out, mental midget, wont keep his era under 5 over the entire year, not a big game pitcher...... -
I dont know how many of you purchase WiiWare games, but I bought World of Goo last night and it is a total blast, a really fun little puzzle game
-
uh oh nothing. Blake isnt going to be the savior in Minnesota

I thought I recognized it. But its ok to recycle now that he is arrested again

Does it get better than this? http://www.sportsbybrooks.com/ex-major-lea...g-charges-21184

QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 2, 2008 -> 12:10 PM) How do you import them over? My other laptop crashed so I can't get on it, obviously. I checked my purchase history and they are all there listed, but not in my library. CopyTrans Suite is a good program to backup an ipod or remove songs from your ipod to your hardrive

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 2, 2008 -> 11:06 AM) That's the only game I will miss on the 360. Has anyone played MLB Power Pros 2008 for the Wii? I played the previous PS2 port, and it was extremely easy. I havent played the new one, but from what I am told it is pretty much the same. Its fun, but there is really no effort to it. Its like oldschool RBI baseball, once you get the timing down its over

QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Dec 2, 2008 -> 09:39 AM) Wrong brother. I am the one who posted that story. And if people think Miss England is fat, what does that make Kim's ass? Juddling still likes to post the strange stories(as do you ), I just scrolled through SLAM and saw a few. It isnt as if he is pop-culture proof Plus, knowing about the Kardashians isnt about knowing the family. Its about knowing which ones are hot and which ones are not. there is nothing wrong with that
-
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Dec 2, 2008 -> 07:40 AM) That place has a pretty sweet deal for a Garmin right now. Yeah it does. Although it should be noted that the deal is a factory refurbished device
-
QUOTE (juddling @ Dec 1, 2008 -> 05:46 AM) Just the fact that more than one Soxtalk member knows anything about any of the Kardashian sisters really frightens me.... Coming from you, this is very strange, this is right up your alley of posting. I mean, you just posted a story about Miss England being too fat, how is that less odd than knowing about the Kardashians?

QUOTE (TheBlackSox8 @ Dec 1, 2008 -> 06:27 PM) 28 bucks?? 8 packs for my quattro cost 24 dollars This was back when the quattro came out, and when I got my free one in the mail I just said screw it and went to disposables when the Quattro went dull
-
the quattro is awesome, but Ill be damned if Im spending 28 bucks for a 4 pack refill. I stopped worrying about it and switched to disposables. They do the job just as good and I never get cut. And they are cheaper
