Plaxico Burress accidentally shoots himself in the leg
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 1, 2008 -> 09:28 AM) I think this could spell the end of the road for Plax. The Giants are fine without him, and I don't see another team wanting to add that head case. He's not as good as TO, who is about the only person who gets away with goofy antics. If Pacman can get 15 chances, Im sure Plaxico can get 10 chances

50th anniversary of tragic fire at elemetary school
QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Dec 1, 2008 -> 09:07 AM) As a kid in the 70's, I heard about this in my Catholic School every time we had a fire drill. I just learned earlier this year that a guy I've know for several years survived this as a first grader. Channel 11 had a gut-wrenching special about this several years ago. There are also a couple of books. There was a story on the trib website about the drummer from the band Journey, who was also a survivor of the fire

50th anniversary of tragic fire at elemetary school
My Dad told me somewhat of a gruesome story in regards to this tragic event: A family friend lived across the street from the school and was a janitor. When everything happened, there wasnt enough room in the morgue, so the city of Chicago used his house to keep the bodies for a little while.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Nov 30, 2008 -> 08:36 PM) What the hell was Tillman doing on that play? When Frerotte pulled the ball back to throw it, Tillman bit up on the under route and Berrian came completely free. He basically predicted the wrong place the ball was going before it was even let go.

QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Nov 30, 2008 -> 06:39 PM) I just wanted to point out the irony in these two posts here... What I think he is saying is that people develop reputations for being good or bad tippers, and the drivers respond accordingly. I always delivered my food on time and a good portion of the time early(unless I came back and stuff was out of control and already late by the time I walked in the back door), but if I had a route of tickets in my hand, the guys who arent tipping go to the back of the list. Their food will be hot, but it wont be "just got out of the oven" hot. Now, this is only me Im talking about. I knew plenty of drivers who were absolute jerks and didnt care, and they would let the food get cold. I never did that, but Im not gonna say it didnt happen

QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Nov 30, 2008 -> 06:01 PM) Oh and I hate tipping when a bartender gets me a bottle of beer. Turning around and grabbing something is not worth a dollar. I usually just tip every other beer in that situation. I tip big early on so the bartender remembers me when the bar is packed later on and i need a beer. Bartenders always can find you in the crowd when you tip well

Denver has been one of the bigger Jekyll and Hyde teams this year. Sometimes they are just awesome, like today. Other days they are just mediocre to bad. I never really expected that from Shanahan, he usually is consistently good.

Did the packers really just have a long extended drive to take a 3 point lead with 2 minutes left, only to give up a 54 yard bomb to Steve Smith and give back the lead? Wow

Tipping
QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Nov 30, 2008 -> 12:07 PM) I don't understand tipping someone who cuts your hair sometimes. If you get your hair done by appt and have a regular person who cuts your hair and you like their work, then by all means take care of them. If they work you in at the last minute, tip them. But if you go to a walk in place, why should that person expect a tip? I never understood tipping hotel maids. Cab drivers? Why, unless they do something specific to deserve one? Bathroom attendants? whatever - I can get my own towel My friend cuts hair, so I understand where they are coming from. A good majority of hair stylists dont get paid much of a salary/hourly wage, or they dont get paid one at all and they have to rent their haircutting space from the place they work. So they have to figure out all of fees from rental, cost of supplies, and then charge according to what the business sets as the normal prices. Tips augment their wage very similarly to how tips augment a waitress/delivery drivers wage.

Plaxico Burress accidentally shoots himself in the leg
QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Nov 29, 2008 -> 07:07 PM) My question is will Goodell be all over this? if there is any police involvement, yeah. Other than that, I dont see any reason he can suspend him. I dont think he can suspend him for being a dumbass, but carrying a concealed unlicensed weapon could be a different story.
