Last night it took me an hour and 15 minutes to get from my house in Schaumburg to my fathers house in Buffalo Grove, normal commute time for me 15 minutes. On the way back, I was in bumper to bumper traffic on Rt 53 from Dundee road until Euclid road, and this was at 8 in the evening.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Dec 16, 2008 -> 07:51 AM) The amount of shovelware on the Wii is probably more than with the PS3 and 360 combined because it's so popular and it's easy for 3rd party companies to make money. There are good games for the Wii obviously, but they are marketed at a completely different audience. Furthermore Nintendo's been the "family" console for a good 10 years now, so yeah, they're gonna have a lot of kids games, many of which will be s***ty. this i disagree with. Nintendo has historically been a problem with 3rd party developers because they try to control so many aspects of the development on the system. Their 3rd party "family" is kind of small. The WiiWare is a different aspect which is giving 3rd party developers opportunities to test out games, but its still pretty strict. I still love the classic catalog to download from though

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 15, 2008 -> 10:44 AM) I don't believe Logan ever had regenerative powers like a gecko when it loses it's tail or whatever. If a limb or part of a limb is gone, his healing factor can't regrow it... rather his healing factor is just a super accelerated form of any human's ability to heal. This made him a possibility for the Weapon X Project because he would heal quickly. However, re-growing a hand not so much. If I recall (it was a really long time ago), he did discover in that series that his adamantium claws would still come out through that stump. Like I said, it was a long time ago, but that series was pretty fun. Another fun Wolverine spinoff also involved Batman, after the Marvel/DC miniseries spawned the Amalgam universe and combined characters from DC and Marvel. It was called "Dark Claw". Kind of lame looking back at it, but when I was 13 (1996), it was really awesome. It also featured a funny mixture of Jubilee and Robin. The amalgam series was awesome for sure. IIRC it was Superman/Captain America, Batman/Wolverine, and for some wierd reason Spiderman/Superboy. There are some more I am forgetting. Plus, the comics that led up to the amalgam universe was even better with the DC vs Marvel battles.

Official 2008-2009 NFL Thread
http://www.startribune.com/sports/vikings/...iD3aPc:_Yyc:aUU Does anyone think that the recent "victory" by the Williams wall in the courtroom vs the NFL in regards to StarCaps is setting a precedent? It seems bogus to me that these guys are getting away with it while lesser players in the league have basically taken their punishment and dealt with it. Basically the same thing happened to Jim Miller in 99 or 2000 and he had to serve a 4 game suspension, and one of the jokes about it was that he in no way looks like a guy who would be using steroids, and thats some of the same line of reasoning I am hearing about Pat Williams using StarCaps to mask steroid use. maybe one of our maverick lawyers on the website can explain it to me a little better, it just seems that the williams wall is just delaying the inevitable until the offseason for the playoff run, and will serve the suspensions at the start of next season. QUOTE (lostfan @ Dec 7, 2008 -> 02:15 PM) In my fantasy land, the Jags let Gregg Williams go, Bob Babich is dumped, and Williams comes to the Bears. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3768691

I was really skeptical about the Wolverine movie, but it looks a lot better in that preview than anything else I have seen from it. Looks a lot rougher than X-men. I like Liev Shrieber(sp?), but I actually liked Tyler Mane's version of Sabretooth. Maybe it was a little more acting that Mane couldnt do

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 12, 2008 -> 11:28 AM) I love how everyone pretty much had the Cowboys winning it all this year after their start. TO always destroys teams. Remember how happy he was with McNabb to start things out, and then he turned on him? You're seeing the same thing here. Lets not forget what he did to Garcia in San Francisco. The thing about it is that Owens doesnt make it about the game, he makes it extremely personal and does it all through the media. I wish there was a glitch in his career that he didnt win a superbowl so that he wouldnt be so insufferable AND a winner.
