QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 06:49 PM) Are you serious? My Dukies are going to destroy the Salukies. Just like the Bills are going to the AFC title game. The Salukis may very well lose, and it is very probable, but I dont think they will be destroyed. -
Im starting to get excited to see The Watchmen. Every preview I see, I like

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 10:40 AM) I'm going to say something unpopular. Though I love the smell of bacon, I do not like the taste.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 10:33 AM) Funny how pundits are blaiming Martz, and not Singletary. I think it all obviously should fall on the head coach. Martz insists the stoppage of play in the final 20 seconds to respot the ball(from the 1 yard line to the 2 1/2 yard line) was at fault, not the play calling. If they were really hosed on the ball spot, then it is somewhat debatable, as Frank Gore's 2nd down rush would have been enough from the 1 yard line. But it happened the way it happened, and its over now -

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 05:34 AM) I want O-Cabrera with the Twins... 1) To see how poor his range looks on turf (they could have kept a younger/better version in Bartlett at 1/15th the cost), 2) To see the White Sox take Twins' draft picks for compensation, 3) To see us beat the Twins again and O-Cabrera finally miss out on the playoffs 4) Maybe to see Balfour taunt him again...that was good stuff, like K-G and Jose Calderon (Raptors) totally random in the context of this thread -

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 09:08 AM) It looked pretty bad at first but he was walking around with out crutches(obviously limping) so who knows. Still haven't heard any word on him yet though. He has a week until MSG, hopefully he is all good by then. Fay has been awesome this year, when Boyle and Booker get going, the front line is going to make the guards look that much better -
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 08:56 AM) Don't the Tigers have control of Garcia for next year? I could swear the contract he signed with them last year was for two years. Wasnt it a player option? I remember a lot of talk about him pitching for an upcoming contract Im also wondering about the "Suck" comment

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 08:42 AM) Can't beat that atmosphere, eh? Fun stuff last night. It's unbelievable the improvement that Fay has made from last year to this. I've been telling Brian since the first exhibition game that when he's on the court(he keeps getting in f'n foul trouble) he's by far our best player and it's really not even close right now. As for Dillard, he has some ridiculous talent, he needs to start making better decisions though. He was terrible in the first half, pretty much awful but obviously he came back huge for us in the 2nd half. As a side note, looks like Roundtree hurt himself pretty badly which is a shame, I love the way that kid plays the game. He's the perfect role player on a winning team. Next Thursday should be interesting, Fay needs to keep himself out of foul trouble some how. Did Roundtree really look like he was in bad shape? I had to listen to the game -

QUOTE (BearSox @ Nov 12, 2008 -> 09:37 PM) I don't even know what that's from. I think it's just silly for a group to try and denounce god when clearly the majority of the population does believe in god, or at least some sort of higher being. it doesnt matter where its from, I googled religious billboard, and thats what popped up. There are tons of religious billboards that say many different things trying to make people that dont believe, believe in their message. And if they believe in god, that doesnt make the message correct, especially looking at people like Fred Phelps. Im sure there are plenty of people that believe its silly to denounce the big bang theory as the one and only creator of this universe.(this is in reference to the billboard I posted) A majority belief doesnt make the minority wrong. -

QUOTE (BearSox @ Nov 12, 2008 -> 09:24 PM) I get the group doesn't believe in God, but it wasn't a smart move by them. It basically seems like they are intentionally trying to attack anyone who believes in God. A much better slogan would have been something like "You don't have to believe in God to be good." Or, they could have simply took away the "Why believe in God?" and just had the "Be good for goodness sake" there. Come on, it goes both ways. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 12, 2008 -> 09:02 PM) They play next week, not tomorrow. Great comeback win...I can't wait to watch Dillard on tv. I thought it seemed a bit much to play 3 games in a row, as well as travel to New York -

QUOTE (joeynach @ Nov 12, 2008 -> 08:25 PM) I know we have a rather larger payroll and thats a finally nice thing to see, but aside from Torii Hunter last year we are never linked to any big name free agents. Im starting to get sick of always having linkages to players that are cheap, old, rebounding from injury, looking for a change of scenery, in someone else doghouse, coming off disappointing years, etc. Im not saying we need 150 Mil payroll like red sox, we should be totally competitive with a payroll around 100 Mil, but come on. A team of those types of guys won the world series in 2005. And a team that is known for buying every big name free agent available hasnt won since 2000. And I kind of like a guy who ran out of options with the team that drafted him, whose last name starts with Q and ends with uentin. -
QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Nov 12, 2008 -> 03:49 PM) I'll be at the game tomorrow night vs the Mavs. Warriors. LOL, you mean Clippers
