  1. pfffft, Im still waiting for the Galaxy Quest sequel
  2. QUOTE (Kid Gleason @ Nov 15, 2008 -> 01:52 PM) EGADS my good man!!! That "hired bassist" is really the only credibility this joke of a band has! He's also the only guy tagging along for the duration it seems, and he seems to be the main guy Axl has any respect for as he has been allowed to record a solo album during all this time, and do numerous side projects. That's Tommy Stinson from The Replacements. In all fairness, I did say that I didnt know the names of the other two guys, I didnt say "I dont know who Tommy Stinson is" The only reason I know buckethead is because the guy makes his name playing with a bucket on his head, and I only know Robin Finck because I am a huge NIN fan. So there
  3. Arent Boston and New York set at 3B for the foreseeable future? I know they like to just pile on the talent, but it doesnt seem like Viciendo would get a fair shot to compete at the job with either of those two teams, and that could play pretty heavily into the White Sox favor.
  4. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Nov 17, 2008 -> 06:52 AM) http://www.southsidesox.com/2008/11/14/661...ockingly-low-on http://www.southsidesox.com/2008/11/13/660...-trade-transcri Gotta love those smart-a** White Sox experts who always think they know more than KW about putting a baseball team together. You would have thought we were coming off another 72-90 season with this guy's sarcastic attitude. By the way, I'm sure he had been there about 90% of the time to admit when he was wrong as KW's deals have usually turned out for the best, especially when there are "sleeper" players involved that are undervalued/under the radar/struggling/injured. LOL, Im looking forward to GHC's reply
  5. How f***ing fitting, a handoff to end the half on a obvious hail mary scenario
  6. Awful everything. Turners playcalling has been equally as bad as Babich's. Oh f***, now Maynard cant punt anymore either.
  7. QUOTE (MAX @ Nov 16, 2008 -> 09:44 AM) Fukudome isn't a terrible player. He is just terribly overpaid. I would take him from the cubs if they bit off a huge portion of his contract. Its also likely that he will improve. It seems this team will never play brian anderson on a regular basis again with the speedy jerry owens under contract. I'd rather have kosuke(almost anyone) over jerry. I dont know about that, Fukodome finished the year pretty terribly
  8. I rented Spiderman: Web of Shadows. I like the feel to the game, its pretty dark.
  9. Im gonna be at Fox and Hound in Schaumburg watching the fight tonite. Im looking forward to it, me and my softball team are having our end of the season bash and we decided on tonite unanimously when we saw what was going on, its gonna be a fun night.
  10. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 15, 2008 -> 12:54 PM) Didn't Wood have a problem with Steve Stone several years ago for Stoney telling it like it is? Yeah, the Dusty Baker blow up happened around the same time. Stone has always been highly critical of Woods mechanics in relation to his injury history, and Wood complained about it during an interview. I couldnt find all of the back and forth quotes, but here is an excerpt from everyones fave Mariotti ''
  11. QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Nov 15, 2008 -> 12:30 PM) The reviews are mostly positive. Do you remember the goofballs he briefly went on tour with? I think the tour was over in a month or less. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STc30hsUCoY Is is that band?..... was the recording going on during the same time? Too bad GNR has become a r & r punch line, Appetite is a classic. I believe those goofballs are the same guys he made the album with. Robin Finck from Nine Inch Nails, Buckethead are the two names I know, and there is a hired bassist and drummer as well. I wonder if Axl will ever come to the realization that his ego stepped on his fame and fortune, and the only way GnR is going to make its money again is with a true reunion tour. Its highly doubtful, but hey, the Police toured again, so anything can happen.
  12. QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Nov 15, 2008 -> 12:48 PM) KG, I know everything. Are you guessing? I looked on Snopes and couldnt find it in the search engine. I mean, its very possible, but you would think MSN would have caught on before posting the story

  15. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Nov 14, 2008 -> 10:54 AM) The Fixx pretty much only had two hits and that was one of them. Don't pretend you're too young to remember suffereing through them the first time around. I was 5 when this song came out. So there is no pretending, I have absolutely no recollection of this song. Im listening to it on youtube right now, its not as hideous as the radio jingle, but its not good at all.
  16. QUOTE (knightni @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 09:49 PM) Who'd they deactivate then? Hinrich, right?
  17. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationw...0,7149583.story I thought this was just a radio jingle, I had no idea it was a real song from "The Fixx" The sooner they stop showing it the better. Its almost as bad as seeing Kelly Clarkson every other commercial during the 05 season and playoffs for the Ford commercial
  18. QUOTE (scenario @ Nov 14, 2008 -> 08:38 AM) I'd bet my lunch money that Dave Dombrowski has already been on the phone with Wood's agent. exactly how much do you spend on lunch?
  19. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Nov 14, 2008 -> 08:17 AM) He will, plus we've got Champ Oguchi who transferred from Oregon for his senior year after starting there for two years. Our wing play is by far the best in the conference. Right now, we just have to hope someone can step up and do an adequate job of running the point without Boo Richardson. Easier said than done though. Oh, and that was not necessarily a shot at SIU. ISU is a a second rate team as well. Screw it, It was a shot. LOL /withholds ISU shot regarding the Porter Moser era
  20. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Nov 14, 2008 -> 08:00 AM) For about 12 years, USC couldn't beat Notre Dame. If I truly was a bandwagon fan, I could have just stopped cheering for the Trojans then. They didn't win a national title in the 1980's (but they did win Rose Bowls) so that couldn't have been a reason I just loved them. As a young kid, it was my first college game ever. I stuck with them. Now since they're good, it seems like I'm a bandwagon fan, but they weren't nearly as dominant in the 80's as they currently are. LOL, stop defending it, They are gonna keep razzing you until you stop. Bandwagon fans cheer just as hard as born-and-bred fans
  21. Although the likelihood is extremely slim, it would be hilarious if Wood came to the Sox and stayed healthy and helped the Sox win it all.
  22. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 11:26 PM) AKA SIU. LOL, you better hope Osiris has another year like he did last year.
  23. Now if they could work on cutting back on the 4-1-9 scams, I would be very happy. I hate getting those emails. I figured it was just a matter of time before the counterfeit pharmaceuticals was busted. My spam box is always loaded with crap titled "WANT C.I.A.L.I.S.?" and "Neck Pain? We can help!" Its pretty stupid for them to be US based, im kind of surprised it isnt a foreign operation
