  1. QUOTE(shipps @ Feb 29, 2008 -> 08:41 AM) Wow,the amount the size of a head pin can kill an adult.I didnt know this stuff was that powerful. This isnt the same poison they used on Viktor Yushchenko is it? All I could find was that he was poisoned with Dioxins, I dont know that they ever came out and said it was ricin http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/europe/12/11...tria/index.html

QUOTE(knightni @ Feb 27, 2008 -> 05:06 PM) M. Night Shamaylan Are you saying we have never heard from him again? Or his next movie tanked and we still hear from him? His next one is supposed to be a little scarier, hopefully better than the borefest "The Lady in the Water" Im pretty sure im in the minority, but I enjoyed 6th Sense,Unbreakable and Signs, and didnt really care for The Woods and Lady in the Water
  4. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Feb 28, 2008 -> 07:54 AM) It really wouldn't be that big of a deal, they usually both aren't home on the same dates very often. Yeah, but once you start moving a game here, a game there, it becomes a ripple effect on the schedule. Im not saying its gonna be catastrophic, I was just wondering about it. They cant really plan on a day-night doubleheader Cubs and Sox because the Cubs(or Sox if they are the early team) could go into extra innings, throwing the other game into flux.
  5. QUOTE(kjshoe04 @ Feb 27, 2008 -> 11:19 PM) ISU beat Creighton 68-54 to gain at least a share of 2nd in the MVC. Anthony Slack with 15 points and 20 boards. Now comes the battle for the 2 seed in the tourney in Carbondale. Bring on the Salukis. It aint happenin, you better start preparing for Arch Madness. The Salukis are gonna bring the noise, the Arena is gonna be rockin
  6. QUOTE(RME JICO @ Feb 27, 2008 -> 09:45 PM) Wouldn't this cause a huge scheduling problem? In order to have a nice homestand, the other team would have to have an extra long road trip. I was thinking the same thing. You would think some of the scheduling would cross at some point and things would have to be moved around. Basically the entire MLB schedule would have to be shuffled to accomodate the Chicago teams.
  7. QUOTE(fathom @ Feb 27, 2008 -> 02:02 PM) How many batters before the first doomsday prediction? I thought that was post #29

My best friend graduated Benet Academy in Lisle with her. Said she was really nice
  9. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Feb 27, 2008 -> 09:09 AM) Umm, this isn't going to be Ric Flair's last match. I promise he'll be back and wrestling until the day he dies. Umm, you dont have to promise that. We all know
  10. How funny is it that Alexei Ramirez makes camp on time as a Cuban defector by way of the Dominican Republic, and Richar cant make camp on time as an actual citizan
  11. No wonder Mayweather couldnt stop smiling when he was in the ring with Big Show.
  12. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Feb 27, 2008 -> 03:32 AM) Hello bubble. Hello Mojo. The Salukis are playing with a nice swagger, last night Bone and Mullins hit some absolute daggers in the final minutes of the game, the Salukis finally look somewhat comfortable playing on the road. They need to take care of business with ISU and carry that momentum into Arch Madness. Falker was a manchild last night, and Shaw is playing with some aggression finally. I love watching Fay fly around the court too
  13. Tonite was huge for the Salukis. They look like they have a lot more spring in their step, and they are playing with a lot of confidence. The Arena is going to be rocking when Illinois St comes into town to finish out the season.
  14. I saw this on thesuperficial.com and it made me laugh out loud. I thought I would share
  15. SIU vs Bradley tonite on ESPN2 should be awesome. Its gonna be tough because the Salukis never play well in Peoria, but the Braves dont have Ruffin
  16. The last four minutes before the half in the Bulls game have been some of the worst officiating on both sides I think I have ever seen. Kirk got thrown out in about 2.3 seconds, Josh Howard got a technical, the Deng got to shoot three free throws, and he missed two of three, no calls, a missed goaltend, it was ugly.
  17. QUOTE(Felix @ Feb 25, 2008 -> 02:10 PM) No and no. If you have a ring, you were the reason you got it. There's no other reasoning. Period. I'm totally series. I luv when you are series
  18. QUOTE(Haarold @ Feb 25, 2008 -> 02:05 PM) Your list is a joke. How many of those guys are wearing rings right now? Pitching and defense win baseball games. Period. What does this have to do with a player being mediocre? Last I checked it takes a TEAM to win a ring
  19. QUOTE(Haarold @ Feb 25, 2008 -> 12:59 PM) Mediocre? If Crede is mediocre at third who do you consider to be good? I think the better question is what do you feel is mediocre? Crede provides excellent defense, this we do not doubt. However, he has had one good year and a few less than mediocre years, his career batting average is .259 and his best (full) year was in 2006 when he hit .283....then had back surgery.
  20. I dont get it. Why is it so hard to understand that Boras is going to take Crede to free agency and get him paid like the top 3B in free agency? The Sox arent gonna pay that money. Move on. Get over it. Fields is the man who is taking his place. End O' Story
  21. QUOTE(Haarold @ Feb 24, 2008 -> 11:48 PM) I'm not sure if Crede has done something to anger this organization (Scott Boras aside), but it seems as if they are writing him off. How can you put Scott Boras aside if he is the reason that the Sox are writing him off?
  22. QUOTE(Brian @ Feb 24, 2008 -> 05:47 PM) This thread is too wordy. Some of it may have to do with where people go. Carbondale, there is nothing else to do. There are bars galore. Other alum here would agree. I agree with the Bar part, but I have to disagree on things for people to do. I know a ton of things to do in and around carbondale. It just so happens that alcohol is part of many of the other things to do.
  23. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Feb 24, 2008 -> 05:17 PM) In Chicago, he ate deep dish pizza, in CA he dined at In and Outs, where will Bartolo run up a tab in Boston? Bartolo's Baked Beans, coming to a tavern near you (in Boston)
  24. Is Brian Andersons surgically repaired wrist his right wrist? Either his muscles are twisting and looking goofy during that throw, or his muscles are still small(atrophied?) from his surgery. Either way it looks kind of wierd.
