QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 02:16 PM) Impossible...today Jenny McCarthy talked about her lesbian experiences with Jenna Jameson...It almost made me buy more radios... Stern has you hook, line and sinker

QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 02:23 PM) Did you catch last night's game? I got so annoyed after Jones HRd. The fans were acting as if they had just won the World Series, hugging each other and going crazy. They beat the AAA Marlins....yippee. Yeah, but it was an exciting ending. The LA Dodgers werent a juggernaut when they faced the Sox last year, and AJs walkoff homerun reaction shook the camera's in their mounts. A win is a win, Cubs fans can get excited too.

QUOTE(longshot7 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 02:11 PM) is there a way I can get classic Nintendo games like Super Mario Bros & Metroid converted for the XBox? I am new to this whole video game thing....... I was told just the other day that you can burn the games to discs and play them off of a website, but I am not sure where. If you want to just wait, the Nintendo revolution will have a fully downloadable back-catalog of every game that existed on a Nintendo, Turbo GraphX, and Sega Genesis system

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 02:17 PM) HELL NO Ouchies, my ego Actually, come August, send them back...hell, send every Cubs fan to NoDak for all I care. I'll be a South Dakotan again next year...wo0t. your heart resides on the southside, its all good

QUOTE(T R U @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 01:17 PM) I was at the game last night when Lidge completely choked, then gave up the granny to Nomar.. Me and my brother saw that s*** coming before Lidge even stepped out of the bullpen.. man, every since the St. Louis series last year he has been goin downhill I had to drop his ass from my fantasy team, he was just killing me. He hasnt had a week-long ERA under 20 for the entire season it seems.

Im enjoying watching Cubs fans figure out(albeit slowly) that Jacque Jones is good only when the game on the line, and other than that he is bad-awful-horrible. He is totally making matters worse too, its pretty funny. What can you expect though, he came from a place that could never sell out to a place that always sells out. More people=more criticism, if he cant take it he shouldnt have signed the contract
-
You just have to know how to pick your spots with him. You cant rip on him, because after all he DID take you to a game. Ignore him, and if he starts getting worse, start throwing stats at him and see how he responds. True bandwagoners hate when you start asking about lineups and specific players and such, mostly because they have no idea. You have to keep in mind, he IS from North Dakota

QUOTE(sti3 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 11:23 AM) Actually he's 6-9 vs. the Sox career, with an only-slightly-above-average ERA of 4.21. Hardly Sox-pwnage. Look at his last 4 years vs the sox though, with the exception of 2004, he has held the Sox in check pretty well

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 11:14 AM) They lost by two goals, did he think the ref's calls made a three goal difference?? http://msn.foxsports.com/soccer/story/5536534 dammit! If you cant choke refs anymore than what can you do? this is getting downright ridiculous, coaches rights are being violated.... I hope a video of this is floating around the internet somewhere

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:43 AM) I want to reiterrate how awesome BA's homerun was last night. I know I wasnt the only one who jumped up and cheered. I woke my Dad up because I started cheering. He woke up and was like "WHO HIT THE HOMERUN? Really?" lol

QUOTE(soxhawks @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 07:33 PM) Kiper does not use much of his own opinion just puts out how he thinks the draft will go, I would have much more respect for him if he did not go the safe route but instead said who are the best players in order. Thats not what I find with kiper. I think he analyzes team needs and cross-references it to the best players in the draft. Sometimes it looks like the safe route, but if he is right, he is right.

Im just curious why this is interesting.

QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:38 AM) :rolly http://abclocal.go.com/wpvi/story?section=bizarre&id=4110770 Man Survives 12 Nails in Head PORTLAND, Ore. - April 24, 2006 - Doctors say an Oregon man has set an unwanted record. The 33-year-old man went to the hospital complaining of a headache. The X-rays revealed 6 nails between his right eye and ear, 2 below his right ear and 4 more on the left side of his skull. The man admitted they all got there in a failed suicide attempt with a nail gun. Neurosurgeons removed the nails one by one. They say, amazingly, none hit major blood vessels or the brain stem. The man was also given psychiatric care following surgery. This guy was high on Meth when he tried to commit suicide. I really have no pity for this moron. http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/04/21/nail.gun.ap/index.html

QUOTE(SoxPride56 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:22 AM) Am I the only one that thinks Uribe could have stopped that ball from going into the outfield? I think he could have dove for it, and kept the runner at 3rd. Watch the replay http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/index.jsp?c_id=sea Uribe came a long way, he was holding the runner close to 2nd, and he just couldnt get there.

QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:33 AM) I like to b**** so I will run with this. Uribe did a few things badly yesterday. Not sure if I am being overly critical but he swung at some horrendous pitches. The ball that Ichiro hit was perfectly placed. Both the tying and winning runs were 12 hoppers/rollers with nobody in site. I was fine, almost happy with the lineup as Moyer has made us look sad before. They got some nice hacks off Putz for once and hit Guardado. I think Tad may get the day off for Cintron today. If I wasn't up until 12:15 I wouldn't have cared. Im not going to limit the bad swing complaint to Uribe. Truth be told, Jaime Moyer specializes in getting batters to take horrible swings at his pitches, its how he survives and thrives. Thome took some odd looking hacks himself

QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 08:45 AM) Ron Kittle = book whore = would, and did IMO, say anything to sell another book. I wanted to say something similar, but I thought against it because Kittle was an ex-Sox player and I didnt want to side with Bonds in any issue. But I do agree, its a story that Kittle tells, and it cannot be verified by anyone but Kittle and Bonds. And given the timeframe of the comments, it was an easy target for Kittle and generated tons of buzz for his book. Until I see(or hear) a quote from Bonds himself that says "I hate White People", Im going to attempt to give him some benefit of the doubt.

I dont feel that there are any "scrubs" on the Sox bench this year. its been said so many times on this site, the White Sox bench could start for most other teams. The only real problem area I see on the team is the bullpen, and now they are starting to get their act together too.

QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 08:24 AM) If these were debated in the game threads, sorry. 1) Garland looked pretty good but it seemed the leadoff man was on every inning. I do not think he should have started the 8th, Ibanez hits the White Sox pretty good. 2) Why not walk Ichiro with first base open and the tying run on second. Especially if you are going to walk the .214 hitting Jeremy Redd later. McCarthy should get Reed out there. I think I am just tired and looking to b****, oh well. fixed that for you

QUOTE(chitownsportsfan @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 06:28 AM) It's in the cards anyway--no 9 game winning streaks! Yasny correctly pointed out that the Sox have already had a 9 game winning streak in the past year. 8 in a row in the playoffs, and the first game of the season.

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 10:58 PM) I said the worst part of his comments was when he backed them up. I'm thinking we agree on that. Yes, we agree on that completely. Sorry I didnt make that more clear, I didnt mean to make my post seem like I was arguing with that point. I just dont see a double standard, thats all -
QUOTE(My Dixie Normus @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 10:31 PM) They must be hurting for e-mail because they answered one that asked what is the warning track? What is next? Who holds the key to the batter's box? actually the question was "How long has the warning track been on major league fields?"

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 10:29 PM) Every time I see s*** like that, I wonder who is worse, the guy doing the s***, or his boys rooting him on. I am in total agreement. I wonder how his buddies will feel if he ends up brain damaged

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 09:18 PM) ahhhh, where to start with this. Yes I think he shouldn't have said those things and no I'm not going to defend him for saying those things. What hurt him to most in my opinion was the last part where he said he stands by what he said. When I see this I see two things wrong with our standards here. 1. Obviously times have changed and that doesn't need to be said at all. 2. I also feel like there could be a double standard here mainly because a man said it about a woman. I'm trying to think of a scenario where it's the opposite but I just can't. I don't know, I guess for the longest time a delivery room was no place for a man and that was ruled to be ok. That's the best I have right now. I just think there's somewhat of a double standard, but none the less they were stupid comments. I dont see any sort of a double standard. And he definitely had a chance to regroup and use a mulligan, but he only made the problem worse and stood by his remarks. Supposedly he has been reprimanded, whatever that means. -
The New Cars? I was not aware there was a new song. Thats strange that Okasek didnt sing
