If this has already been said, please ignore, but I noticed that DJ was incredibly subdued on Juan Uribe's homerun. There was no "Uh-oh!", no corny excitement, he just called it as he saw it. DJ doesnt bug me anymore, it just kind of happened when I wasnt noticing. All the sudden I feel that he is really doing a good job in the booth now.

I was watching the news when this was announced last night, and the hospital that she supposedly gave birth at was a Christian(or Catholic) hospital. Saint something or another, I cant remember. That struck me as being incredibly odd.

I have a cubs fan buddy who always tries to get a rise out of me, but I always tell him that his smacktalk dont mean a thing, without that ring. I point to my finger and smile, and he tells me he hates me and knows no matter what, I have already won.

I think Maynards media shyness ended when APC became as popular as they are now. I have seen multiple interviews of him in the past 5-6 years, and there was no covering of his face or any of that fun stuff.

The wierd thing about the Twins is that they were all about letting the young guys play, and their young guys turned into a great team(Hunter, Pierzynski, Jones, Radke, Santana etc.), and now that great team is pretty much broken up, and the Twins are resisting another youth movement. I think Gardenhire was great for the Twins when they were ready to compete, I dont know so much about his ability to assimilate young players into the mix. So far his results have been a pretty mixed bag, and more recently he hasnt been all that good with his treatment of Kubel, Bartlett, Castro and Cuddyer. His development of young pitching has been pretty awesome though

Bowden is still living off of the reputation he got as a great GM the year that the Reds won 96 games and missed the playoffs because of a one game playoff. It all has been pretty much downhill for him since that year.

Burnett belongs to the "10 cent head" club as well, so i have to deduct points for that. JMO though
