TRADE THREAD III ~July 9 - July 15
QUOTE(Southside hitmen @ Jul 13, 2005 -> 01:17 PM) A.J. Burnett, Marlins His last few starts have been erratic, but he's mowing down hitters and intriguing a lot of clubs. He's a free agent after the season, so the Marlins figure they're better off getting something for a quality pitcher -- when healthy -- who will price himself out of their budget next year. Potential Suitors: White Sox, Orioles, Yankees I wonder how many more times this will be posted today in a similar form? lol

Why is Ronny Woo Woo Wickers at the Cell
Woo Woo is fine, he was on the radio this morning with Ron Majors. It was also a false report, Woo Woo said on the air that he wasnt married, so his wife couldnt have reported him missing. Why are we worrying about this again?

QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Jul 13, 2005 -> 01:02 PM) Who is more likely to go 7-2 over his next 11 starts: El Duque, Burnett, or Schmidt? El Duque. It might be ugly but he wins far more often than he losses. I cannot disagree with this more. Im not going to start a numbers discussion, I will just state that I disagree.

Slightly different from the music thread. When i interviewed people on the radio station I worked at, I liked to use the question "What are you listening to now"(like its so original) followed by "If you were on an island and could only have 5 cds with you for the rest of your life, what would you pick?" I think it gives a good indication of where that person is in their life and what they are about. Currently the bands with the most plays on my Ipod are Failure(Fantastic Planet), Peter Gabriel(various), On(Shifting Skin), The Killers(various), Hum(You'd Prefer and Astronaut), and Brand New(Deja Entendu) My 5 cds would be 1. 311 - Grassroots 2. Brand New - Deja Entendu 3. David Bowie - Ziggy Stardust 4. Nine Inch Nails - The Fragile 5. Failure - Fantastic Planet this will be a good way to branch out my music interests since I no longer work in radio.

I was 6 when that happened. I have no idea what was going on then except that macaroni and cheese was the best 3 course meal ever and He-Man was my idol.

TRADE THREAD III ~July 9 - July 15
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jul 13, 2005 -> 12:36 PM) The Yankees have a few worthy trade pieces...Cano, Wang, and maybe 1 or 2 other elements sitting around. They're still somewhat bare, but they have things to dump. Right now Cano and Wang are pretty key to the Yanks getting out of their early season slump. I really dont foresee either of them being tradebait.

TRADE THREAD III ~July 9 - July 15
QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Jul 13, 2005 -> 12:39 PM) His pitches can dip from mid 50's to low 90's featuring: 2 seam fastball, 4 seam fastball, changeup, curveball, & slider. What? El Duque has hit 90 one time that i can recall. He has been 80-87 with his fastball most of the time, and he hasnt been able to spot his changeup, curve or slider, resulting in his 2 and 4 seamers getting crushed. I like El Duque, but he has not shown much this season (durability and recent performance) to warrant my undying faith in him during the second half. If he is shipped to the bully because a trade is made, I will not cry about it, thats for sure.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 13, 2005 -> 12:20 PM) AJ> LoDuca, therefore, Burnett would improve hear on the South Side....which is scary. Also, reading about how it would be a blow to the Yankees if we got Burnett...how did they react when the were so "close" to acquiring Freddy last year??? Seriously, what do the Yankees have to offer? Their minors are bare, and they are trying to add pitchers, not subtract them. The Yankees really dont make much sense, but if Georgy Porgy starts throwing around money who knows.

Boone to Minnesota (Official)
QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jul 13, 2005 -> 11:23 AM) Ouuuuuuuuuu...very interesting? Ya think? It would seem the M's are pretty fed up with Miggy, having send him down the minors and all, but I wonder if they would be willing to part with him already. He might be a guy worth waiting for--if for no other reason, defense. Im sure the Mariners are happy with their current starters out of the trade, and I doubt they are going to keep waiting for Olivo to figure things out. He really regressed after he left Chicago, which is a shame. I was really excited for Mo at the beginning of last year, and I was really bummed that he was shipped out. But in hindsight, if this is what the Sox talent evaluators saw in Mo, then I really cannot argue his inclusion in the trade.

Do you believe in ghosts?
there is a 5 minute ghost documentary circling the internet. I cannot hyperlink it right now because I am at work, but it is in the extreme video section of www.ebaumsworld.com, and I am pretty sure it is called "Ghosts" Some pretty damn spooky stuff there. Last year there was a ghost picture from the Queens Palace in England, a man dressed in 1600's garb throwing open a door. Only visible through night vision.
