  1. I want Tony to succeed. If he succeeds the Sox succeed. I am not one to wish he fails at his job because that would be catastrophic for this team. I just don't want what this first two months has been. This is just exhausting
  2. While I definitely understand that, Thibs was brought in to take a terrible franchise and bring them up to a simple "compete" mode, playoffs are gravy. TLR was brought in to take this team to the next level and we are seeing stuff that would have made us all apoplectic if Ricky was doing it last season. I accepted there might be a "getting him back to game speed" time period, but we are almost into June and the thing with Yermin happens. I'm just sick of it. I don't want to talk about Tony anymore, but he makes that impossible.
  3. But did you know that TLR is the manager neenerneener
  4. I just want to know, from the Larussa brigade themselves, what is anyone allowed to complain about with him without you guys getting all "He is a hall of fame Manager how dare you"? he has cost the team games with bad decisions, poor bullpen management, not knowing the rules, shitty lineups, and now is ostracizing his own player while also disagreeing with others in his Locker room, and somehow because TLR has a ring, everything above is washed away with "oh but he has won a lot of games as a manager and is a hall of famer you guys are over reacting" at what point do you actually step back and criticize it like you would do another manager
  5. Right, he hasn't been thrown at and called out enough now, we must make sure he knows that hitting a home run is so bad that we are gonna be mad about it for months. This is how Tray thinks it should be handled
  6. Tray stop repeating this garbage, we all know who the fucking manager is. I'm sorry that you can't see the twisted pretzel bullshit logic for what it is, but clearly you decided that everyone else is the crazy one and that your 1950s thinking about a game being played in 2021 is right. Tony has 2 DUIs, he clearly has judgement issues. Maybe we should all repeat that back at you every time you post who the manager is
  7. He played six days later, but he was a part time player anyways. He only played 86 games that year in a sub role https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/gl.fcgi?id=howarth01&t=b&year=2000
  8. https://slate.com/culture/2021/05/tony-la-russa-yermin-mercedes-home-run-white-sox.html ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  9. There are multiple doubleheader's sprinkled in
  10. Tony said it would be ok. He did. So yea, one strike, and it's not showing up Astudillo. No strikes and oh my god Duffy has to throw at his legs because that makes perfect sense
  11. This is like listening to the people who call into the score and say the NBA should take away the three point line because everything prior was great. Whatever
  12. This man take his responsibility seriously
  13. I mean in isolation sure it seems stupid, but it's been two months of bizarre ass shit from TLR that makes it increasingly harder to defend the hire. But hey I'm glad you and Tony aren't concerned that players on the team are openly saying that it's bullshit
  14. It's not man, it's fans and media. You can keep blaming the media but this thread proves otherwise
  15. And it is absolutely hilarious that a 3-1 home run is perfectly fine, but 3-0 is unacceptable. FOH with that
  16. That's absolutely true, the difference is I'm not calling you stupid or a liar, I'm telling you why I feel you are wrong. and I know it wasn't you calling people liars and stupid
  17. I don't give a fuck about it, it's stupid and irrelevant and the game should move on
  18. No, it was posted immediately after the game on Twitter. Go ahead and look at it. I posted it here on the winner thread the next day but it had already generated traction
  19. No, I posted the behind the batter view of Yermins home run that showed Tony standing up on the step complaining the next morning after the game in the winner thread. It was pretty immediate. The first comment noticed Tony. I agree with you Tony needs to get over it. But he keeps compounding it and that is not our fault
