So Tracy Morgans lawyer admitted that he suffered a traumatic brain injury in his limo accident last year, and there is a chance that he doesnt fully recover from it to come back to the Tracy Morgan that we all remember. Terrible news

Yoan Moncada signs with Red Sox
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Nov 19, 2014 -> 02:06 PM) Ben Badler's latest doesn't even mention the White Sox as 8 most likely to sign Moncada: http://www.baseballamerica.com/internation...avorites-watch/ Just out of curiosity, did he make a list like this last season with Abreu(and if he did, where did he have the Sox)

Rodon's Role In 2015
QUOTE (shysocks @ Nov 19, 2014 -> 12:21 PM) Nobody should want him to be a reliever. If "beer vendor" was an option, I would hope it would get more votes than reliever. the percentage of beer vendors that get Tommy John is very high

40 Man Roster
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 19, 2014 -> 11:33 AM) Personally I don't see Wilkins going anywhere, and have no doubt that Belisario will be DFA'd, non-tendered, or released. they are going to leave a trail of reeses pieces that leads outside the players exit at the park. When he steps out to get the last one, *SLAM* DFA

QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 18, 2014 -> 01:10 PM) Right, but Boozer at C would have been a nightmare, Gasol at C is not. But his rebounding is not as good as Noah's. But this may be premature, as Noah was basically rebounding unchallenged yesterday. I don't understand how Blake/Jordan could be so bad. (edit: at rebounding) from the start it really seemed like the Clippers were thinking "No Rose, no Pau, No problem". as soon as Jamal Crawford came in the game he just started jacking(and hitting, mostly) terrible shots without even looking at his teammates. LA looked very soft last night. I dont expect it to continue, because they are a very good team, but that is what I saw from them last night.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 17, 2014 -> 08:32 AM) This really does make a great case that Jay is a coach killer. If Jay's such a bad fit for what Trestman does, and Jay's such a bad fit for what Martz does, and he's such a bad fit for what Mike Tice does...at the very least it seems incredibly tough to find a coordinator that Jay is a good fit for. He really seems to be the second coming of Jeff George. I fought it for a while, but I can't anymore

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 17, 2014 -> 08:15 AM) Makes you wonder why the Vikings seemed to play a lot of man coverage yesterday Absolutely. Zimmer even talked about it in his post game, it was really stupid for them to play that scheme and to his credit Trestman exploited it. It's no coincidence that they started throwing deep balls all game

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Nov 17, 2014 -> 08:02 AM) Guess I was wrong. Thanksgiving time a year ago. It took until February/March to become a phenomenon here in China...with all the schoolchildren singing "Let It Go." I think I heard that song over the loudspeakers for 3-4 straight months. The Lego Movie then...against Big Hero Six? Lego movie, How to Train your dragon 2. And probably that last Studio Ghibli film(can't recall the name)

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 16, 2014 -> 10:01 PM) What we did most of this year was nothing but dink and dunk. If you think that is a strength for our QB, then well, to each their own, but that is not Jay's strength. Jay is not a good short range passer. His poor footwork makes him inconsistent on short reads but he tends to throw a much better intermediate and deep ball and when you use his legs and get him outside the pocket, he can be even better. We have literally done so little of that all year. I'm okay with short throws and am not saying you can't have any, but with what we have done most of the season, we have literally seen the same number of turnovers, etc (if not more) but not near the big plays and upside. They have started dinking and dunking because Jay has been getting his ass kicked by zone defenses. I don't think Trestman has done a good job at all, but come on now, you think he actually chose to stop moving the ball downfield in large chunks just because? Cutler has thrown so many costly interceptions this season and most of them are due to his bad accuracy within a zone defense, he can't hit his guys in the windows. That's why Jay wants big receivers who can go up and get it, he doesn't have to worry about ball placement.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Nov 17, 2014 -> 07:34 AM) St. Vincent's a nice quiet little film. If you like Bill Murray at his ornery best (think Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino), this one's for you. Melissa McCarthy does well in an understated role, and Naomi Watts didn't need the fake Russian accent. I'm pretty sure this was the acting debut of the kid who plays Oliver...he does a commendable job and holds his own. This awards season is going to be a free-for-all. Foxcatcher's getting raves for Carell and Ruffalo's performances, but most non-critics who see it almost detest it and find it droll and mundane...when they're not being annoyed by Carell's heavy make-up to play DuPont. Interstellar's just not quite clicking to the point where it becomes a best picture candidate. Birdman's not being seen by enough to create a buzz. Gone Girl and Nightcrawler are GOOD films but not Academy worthy, although Ben Affleck seems to be getting overpraised these days to make up for when he was down in the dumps with J-Lo. Whiplash is attracting some fans...but enough to break out? Probably not. Big Hero 6 and Frozen seem poised to fight it out for best animated picture. Big Hero 6 and Frozen fall on the same voting year? That doesn't even seem possible, it seems like Frozen has been out forever

QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 17, 2014 -> 06:21 AM) I enjoyed Edge of Tomorrow. Didn't think it was great but recommend it. Kalapse is right. Tom Cruise knows how to pick movies. Too bad all people see is Scientology when they look at him. Emily Blunt is a great female action star. Surprised she hasn't been cast in the Marvel Universe yet. Pretty sure she was cast as Black Widow but had to back out due to another movie conflict
