  1. Ball State continues it's run at perfection tonight on the deuce. Not a bad football season to this point for me my Tarheels are playing well, and my alma mater is #14 with a bullet. Who would have guessed it at the start of the year. FEAR THE CARDINAL!!!
  2. Kenny Boyton will be a Florida Gator. Huge get for Florida, he was Dukes longtime #1 target and he will be joined by his good buddy and equally talented guard Knight the following year. Duke nation loved their chances for him but he eventually did not even visit Duke cancelling the visit to announce that he will be attending Florida.
  3. QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Oct 31, 2008 -> 02:01 AM) You guys will be a good test for Kansas to see how the young kids have matured by mid season. I recommend you try to see the game live on Jan 3rd and visit the greatest college basketball stadium in the nation. Wow, why are they playing the game at the Dean Dome?
  4. If B. Wright is tossed in for Noah I would do this in a heartbeat. Harrington/Wright is a hands down win for the Bulls for Hinrich/ Noah in my opinion. You can work on the matchups later, but talent wise I would have to do it.
  5. Wow, Hopkins is way over the hill, but the savy vet was able to show just how limited Pavlik is.
  6. Bad loss for my Tarheels. They totally shut down Virginia all day, then they only rush 3 for the final 2 minuets and Virginia flies right down for the touchdown to tie the game (after a deflected point after crept over). In the OT the momentum continues and UNC goes home a loser. When a offense has been so totally controlled I don't see why the prevent is put in at all. Oh well.
  7. I guess he didn't commit to the indian enough.
  8. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Oct 15, 2008 -> 07:23 PM) I like Duke's chances this year. Whole team back except Nelson, and then add on another year to the annual-better Paulus, Singler, Scheyer, Thomas, and Smith, and then freshmen Plumlee, Williams, and Czyz. I think they can make an Elite 8 run. They can be very strong this year, but an elite 8 run will not be seen as a good year for the Dookies. It will be seen as a solid year at best for them, the standards are pretty high, even with the failures of the recent past. I'm interested in seeing how E. Williams does he may be the difference maker for that team.
  9. I'm thrilled as always for the college hoop season to arrive, but with all the fellas returning for another year in blue heaven this could be a very special season for my Tarheels, so maybe a bit more excited at this point. I already got the tickets to see them and Valpo play at the United Center, and I just got some Purdue/Duke tickets to root on my old player E'twaun so I'll be interested in the Boilers run at it as well this year.
  10. Nice weekend for me . UNC survives Norte Dame, and Ball State remains undefeated. It's was nice to see Michigan go down as well. Virginia looked terrible earlier but are playing pretty well lately, so I hope the Heels don't let one slip away next weekend.
  11. I see that 2010 Whitney Young stud#49 overall Anthony Johnson has filled out the 2010 class for Purdue. Painter is doing very well indeed he is all set up to the '11 class, with star players on hand that should not really be major threats to bolt early. (maybe Moore)
  12. Sorry - ass fan reaction if it's true. We are not in the playoffs without Javy this year, and as dissappointed as I am with his performance down the stretch I thinkl it is a WEAK ASS fan that boos their own player that easily.
  13. Terrel Vinson leaves all of the big timers behind and adds to the trend of big fish going to little ponds. This has been speculated for a while but, Vinson will leave the east coast for Loyola Marymont! There is some sketchy past with the ties to Marymont, but it is another stud shunning big time programs
  14. North Carolina at #22 to host the Irish, I'm lovin' it. PLus as a Ball State grad it's good to see the Cardinals in the #25 for their first time ever.
  15. I haven't been to many just: 1. N.D. 2.Nebraska. 3.Michigan 4.Purdue 5.Indiana 6.Ball State 7.Northwestern Iwould like to go to: 1 Ohio State 2. LSU 3.Tennesee 4.Auburn 4..Florida 6.USC 7.UCLA 8.Florida State
  16. Rashanti Smith a stud big man (#26) in the nation gives his verbal to Georgia State. Wow, that's thinking out of the box for the big fella. I guess he has a long running relationship of some sort with the coachat Ga. State.
  17. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Sep 23, 2008 -> 10:44 PM) I somehow missed your post until now. I'll give you some of the John Shoop play selection. He puts Greg Little as the only player in the backfield and puts TJ Yates with his Dan Marino speed outside. You put a RB in the backfield that can't throw, and a QB that's not a threat as a receiver? What happened? Tackled in the backfield. Did he learn his lesson? Nope, tried the same stupid play again later in the game with the same result. Defense just abandoned the WR's each time and put 10 in the box, suprise suprise. Then, it's his Chicago Bears special. 1st and 10? HB Draw. 2nd and 9? HB Draw. 3rd and 8? Pass. Rinse and repeat. It worked pretty well for the Dolphins against the Pats this weekend though. I'm no fan of Shoop, but a lot of teams are going to some form of the "wild hog" to get better numbers in the "box" for the running game, with some nice results.
  18. QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Sep 23, 2008 -> 08:56 PM) I'm all about yelling at the TV and cussing bad plays, etc. but I have never been a fan of booing and you will never see me do so at a game. I may show disappointment, but I think booing is simply classless at any level. I know many here won't agree with me, but I can live with that.I totally agree and I think it is weak and makes the fans look way worse them whoever they are booing. A cheap shot or a straight out lazy effort is the only exceptions I can see.
  19. I think Ozzie should take a page from Ditka and put on some roller skates and roll around the clubhouse before our big trip to the "rollerdome". I think we will win one game and that hopefully will be enough.
  20. Congrats to my Ball State Cardinals going in and spanking IU at Bloomington. It wasn't even close; men against boys!
  21. Coach K. and the Dookies seem to have changed their recruiting stategy a bit. They have gone younger following the recent treand and pullerd in a strong early 2010 class. Hairston and Thorton join Andre Dawkins as verbals, to give them the 2nd rated early class behind Ohio State and just ahead of Illinois for 2010 up to this point. They have a couple of big names for 2009 ready to make a decision as well. Ryan Kelly should decide soon and Duke is high on his list of six. Word is Notre Dame and Duke may have a slight lead, but UNC, G'town, Vandy are also still being considered. Kenny Boyton seems to be leaning toward Florida, but most think it is a two horse race between the Gators and the Dookies, but one never really knows. It should be interesting though.
  22. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Sep 21, 2008 -> 09:38 PM) TJ Yates done for the season. LOL the life of a UNC football fan, just wow.Damn the luck, that is a killer.
  23. Well we will see if UNC can follow up the Rutgers performance this weekend against Va. Tech. First ACC game as well for them .
  24. You have to play each and every game out, take no Sox win or Twin lose for granted. There is no set amount to shoot for, just win tonight against the Yanks and see where we stand at the end of the day. History shows that some crazy s*** can go down in the last 10 games of a pennant race.
  25. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 09:22 PM) Well at least one of my teams won tonight on a crazy night. It has already rained over 8 inches in Lubbock today and is still pouring. This is just nuts. I'm very happy with how the Heels played last night, but damn New Jersey University looked awful. UNC has a couple tough ones on the horizon I hope they can springboard this win to a nice roll through a winnable ACC.
