  1. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 4, 2011 -> 03:47 PM) Sprint is by far the cheapest of the big 3. I know that's true for individual plans but I have no idea about family plans.
  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 4, 2011 -> 12:14 PM) I believe Jeremy (knightni) had a "Free Mustache Rides" shirt for Jose Valentin available on some shirt site. PM him.
  3. But being named for this is an insult.
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 4, 2011 -> 03:30 PM) It's only a matter of time now before this thing winds up named after Stephen Colbert. Perhaps this is going over your head. They are naming it after Durst because they think he's a douche. Because he is.
  5. Pretty odd that in 2011 we still have a team in the NFL called the Redskins.

  8. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 13, 2011 -> 03:25 PM) Wow. Even by the standards of Cook County, which makes the City of Chicago and State of Illinois look like models of fiscal discipline, this is amazing. Cook County Treasurer Maria Pappas has, on her county payroll, a full time driver at 94k/year and a cleaning lady at 57k per year. Only, on her budget, they are labeled as "Project Leader" and "Administrative Analyst". The driver apparently drives her to and from work, and to her yoga class, and spends the rest of the day sitting around. The cleaner works off hours as Pappas' personal cleaning lady. When questioned about the payrollees, her response: "I'm keeping them". Now, when Braun was this brazenly stupid, at least in her case, there was no law stating she had to show her taxes. In Pappas' case, she is clearly using taxpayer dollars for her personal benefit. And amazingly, seems to have no issue with that, even when called out publically for it. Note to Illinois AG - time to dust off the laws for improper use of taxpayer funds and start prosecuting. More info on this story.
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 4, 2011 -> 10:58 AM) And it depends on the larger city as well; everyone and their grandchildren seems to complain about AT&T in NY and SF. Those 2 cities are filled with elitists who expect nothing but perfection.
  10. Mitchell Hurwitz doesn't want to get your hopes up, but expects to have Arrested Development movie out this year
  11. QUOTE (YASNY @ Feb 4, 2011 -> 09:51 AM) The ultimate Sox 'stache was Jose Valentin, O RLY?

  20. An interesting op-ed from Pixar's John Lasseter. I particularly enjoyed reading about the new character, Danny Caca, they will be introducing soon. EDIT: Stupid swear filter. You'll have to replace the asterisks in the hyperlink to the obvious letters that are missing.
  21. Simon Jenkins of the Guardian and London Sunday Times knocks it out of the park in this op-ed.
