  1. QUOTE(KJean @ Aug 12, 2005 -> 12:46 AM) WOW! I love both of them! Thanks! I'm still riding the darker Joe Crede wallpaper, with his mutton chops and his celebratory double fist pump. It gets no better. I dont remember who made it, nor do i care.
  2. QUOTE(Benson&Rexage @ Aug 11, 2005 -> 02:35 PM) 1) To Arizona for Bolding I would guess you mean Bolden? Wouldn't make much sense, considering he's a younger TO.
  3. White Sox Yankees
  4. QUOTE(WSNS-TV44 @ Aug 11, 2005 -> 12:34 PM) What's up? I'm new here to soxtalk.com,but i'm glad i'm here.I've been a Sox fan since the day I was born May 13,1977 (I think we won that night vs the Indians). And the 2005 version of the Sox are giving me hope that we can finally shut up all those ass-clown Cub fans,and shock the Baseball world for good! Let's enjoy the day off,and get ready to beat-down on the BoSox!Oh and,.. welcome aboard!
  5. QUOTE(Big Hurtin @ Aug 11, 2005 -> 11:37 AM) Is this Ozzie's friend? hahahahaha... 8 year olds, dude.
  6. Oh geez... I love Ozzie. Now, let's look at this the right way. Many of us would do the same to our longtime friends... I call my friends "gay" all the time, just kidding and trying to give them s***. Now, do I have a problem with homosexuals? No. It's just something that is done, and I don't know why. However, would I call my friend a "gay" in front of my grandmother? No, I most absolutely would not. I love Ozzie, but he needs to figure out that, with a bay of 30 reporters near him, most wanting to get that precious "Guillen quote," he shouldn't be yelling that kind of stuff. It's called etiquette, Ozzie.
  7. how about f*** Royals talk? let's go white sox. sure, ozzie should have brought Hermanson in to start the 9th, maybe he will learn from this.
  8. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 11:52 AM) I can't see how any station would break up the #1 MLB radio team in America. :rolly #1 AL radio team... regardless, Rooney & Farmer are the best, IMO, and both need to be here for 2006.
  9. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 11:51 AM) Well...he did guarantee that his team would be in contention along with Cleveland at the end of the year... In all seriousness though...I'm starting to wonder if any large bats will hit the waiver wire in the next few weeks. That's something that could really help us. On the other hand...how many games in a row can your team hit with a .227 average? My worry is, how many of those bats would actually make it to us with Boston/NY picking before us?
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 09:37 AM) Don't be foolish. Do you really think anyone in this organization favors Gload over Timo? NO! And as for Ozuna at DH....nothing like the added power from the DH spot. If Everett goes on the DL, something needs to be done. I think even the people who disagree with everything I say would be on the same page as me. Bernstein went on a 20 minute rant about the facts that... a. Dmitri Young is going to be waived b. the White Sox will get him take it for what it's worth, please. i'm just the messenger.
  11. Well, look out, because though every team in the world owns him, Shawn Chacon is pitching tonight. Power righty whom the Sox haven't seen? It's going to be a long night...
  12. Well, look out, because though every team in the world owns him, Shawn Chacon is pitching tonight. Power righty whom the Sox haven't seen? It's going to be a long night...
  13. It would be a sad day when John Rooney left White Sox radio...
  14. and yet we lost
  15. We won't get Griffey, but if we did, he sure as hell would not split time with Everett. Griffey would be a starter, guaranteed. However, there is no need to discuss this, bc he won't ever be a Chicago White Sox.
  16. Geez, you'd think the game would be on ESPN tonight, since every other Yankees game is on ESPN.
  17. I'd settle for him just getting another hit sometime this year... boy is he slumping.
  18. well, considering how we're doing against the Blue Jays and Mariners, I'm a tad worried....
  19. It was hilarous, they kept playing the soundbite on the Score. Ozzie was laughing his ass off. From what I hear, Joe is one of the funnier guys in the clubhouse, so I don't see it being a problem.
  20. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 06:30 PM) DJ looks pretty damn cut! 'roids
  21. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 04:29 PM) Kap, any news on who the Hawks might target next? Trade? FA? Any good wingers still available? sorry to tell you fellas, but Dale Tallon made the comment that everything is in place, and that all of his players have reported. I think he might be done. That leaves our offense.... :puke
  22. I'll tell you one thing, I get a one week suspension, and the sox can't win at home! seriously though, what the heck! This offense's reliability on the homerun is terrifying!
  23. f*** b mac... from watching him, he wont ever be anything in the MLB... hes afraid to throw his change and he sucks.
  24. I am sick of getting myself worked up. I want to hear the news that the White Sox have made a trade. This really is uncalled for, because they have the best record in baseball. However, it is impossible to not get worked up and excited. Every morning when I wake up, I rush to the ESPN.com main page to see if there have been any deals. Then, I come to soxtalk, for what I am absolutely sure will be information of a new signing. I get in the car, turn on the Score or ESPN Radio, expecting to hear Bruce Levine tell me that Aubrey Huff is rolling up to the Cell in a '96 Prelude, ready to add that bat to our lineup. KW has been so amazing with his deals, that as a White Sox fan we are pretty lucky to be this excited. Of course, other teams are content, which makes us seem kind of needy. However, the exciting prospect of possibly getting Ken Griffey, Jr, or AJ Burnett, just makes me want to cream myself. For what its worth, I love this team, and would not be offended if we went for the stretch run as-is. I must say that I do feel we need a bat more than a pitcher, and a tiny addition like Omar Vizquel would go a long way to turning our lineup around. I may be going crazy, and July 31st can't come soon enough. Couple this with the fact that (non hockey fans ignore the next part) the NHL free agency period begins on August 1st, and I just might not make it through the weekend. As Hawk would say, I'm sure, "I love trade deadlines."
