  1. I got a box of magnums, and a stack of twenties!
  2. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 15, 2010 -> 12:38 PM) Mad Men is great while Eastbound and Down gets old after 4 episodes. yes no
  3. Big Brother's Britney Haynes' house burned down this morning... I wonder how she'll take the news on live television tonight. http://www.tmz.com/2010/09/15/big-brother-...ire-burns-down/
  4. Sons of Anarchy is the most consistently incredible program on television... moreso than Mad Men. Survivor starts tonight, and I hate, hate, hate the move to Wednesdays.
  5. More than enough evidence for me... I do think he was penalized simply for missing the final month, which is so crucial to being a valuable, let alone MOST valuable player in the league. PAUL KONERKO FOR MVP!
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 15, 2010 -> 08:55 AM) An awful lot of people put Quentin lower on their list in 2008 not because he was hurt...but because the injury was self-inflicted. Oh yeah? Link me to this evidence, please.
  7. ...IF Quentin was taken out of the discussion in 2008 for missing the final month, then we can discount Josh Hamilton, who is nowhere near returning. ...IF A-Rod could win it with the last place Rangers, then first place is not a requirement. ...IF there is any justice, Paul Konerko will win the 2010 MVP Award. This team would have been out of the postseason discussion for good in June if it weren't for our franchise player, Paul Konerko, who is quite possibly having his best season at age 34. I thank Paul Konerko for this season, for 2005, and for his career as a White Sox, which may or may not be coming to an end (I'm leaning that he'll stay). However, regardless of what shakes there... PAUL KONERKO FOR MVP
  8. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Sep 14, 2010 -> 09:33 PM) Maybe our "fans" should give them better material to read on the internet LOL x8
  9. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Sep 14, 2010 -> 09:29 PM) The negativity of this fan base is truly inspirational to our players This type of post cracks me up.
  10. I hate that fat Twins fan. I'd punch him in the face if I was there.
  11. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Sep 14, 2010 -> 03:16 PM) Sanders is way too overrated and too injury prone to be counted on. He's more injury prone than Tracy McGrady. Not possible.
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 14, 2010 -> 01:43 PM) Something interesting I came accross for the stat heads of Soxtalk talk... Lovie Smith was right to go for it on the 4th down play from the 1 yard line... http://www.advancednflstats.com/2010/09/lovies-blunders.html Field Goal = lead = right choice
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 14, 2010 -> 12:32 PM) I really don't believe that. I think they have him right now coached to be in a box; to do everything to not lose a game but to do nothing that will help win a game. Kyle Sanchez? Mark Orton? Sanchez Neckbeard?
  14. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Sep 14, 2010 -> 09:20 AM) And her mothering skills are not very good. Understatement of the century.
  15. The Devils tried to mimic other deals, took it too far, and are getting f***ed. I think the NHL should have left out this punishment.
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 14, 2010 -> 08:33 AM) Yeah...that was such a "it worked great for the 2007 Bears" decision. I was actually surprised at how good LT looked against that defense, but the Jets had absolutely nothing through the air. The announcers were correctly screaming at the Sanchize towards the end of the game to stop looking automatically for the checkdown. The Jets passing game was flat out too conservative to win that game. Dustin Keller's blatant disregard for the first down marker didn't help anything. That was a pathetic attempt when all he needed was to move the ball to his lead hand.
  17. QUOTE (J.Reedfan8 @ Sep 13, 2010 -> 10:41 PM) I'm kind of "meh" about Jerry overall (does things I like, things I don't like) but I hope his son kinda follows the Rocky Wirtz-like footsteps on right decisions. It definitely seems he will be the next guy in line in the future. Rocky Wirtz didn't exactly conceive great sports idea. He did blatantly obvious things like put home games on television, hire a legit front office and marketing team, and someone who is good at promoting a team. From there, Kane, Toews, Keith, Seabs, etc were already on the team and that made life easy for this regime. As for JR with the Bulls, you can't really say he's done things the wrong way. His not wanting to pay luxury tax for non-championship ballclubs is actually incredibly smart, or else we'd be where the Knicks are... In the NBA, you get better through the draft or that one time every 5 years a franchise player comes available. The Bulls have made strong bids on Kobe and LeBron this decade, and supposedly are trying for Carmelo Anthony as we speak. I have no qualms with how Jerry Reinsdorf runs the Bulls.
  18. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Sep 13, 2010 -> 10:31 PM) I never understood the hype the Jets got before the season started. I think they're a pretty good team, but Super Bowl contendors? I don't think so. AFC Championship Game + young players getting better + a really nice free agency... makes sense to me. Teams need to stop giving up on Thomas Jones, though.
  19. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 13, 2010 -> 09:34 PM) J-E-T-S HA HA HA Someone forgot to tell the Ravens how good the Jets are.
  20. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Sep 13, 2010 -> 12:26 PM) The ground isn't causing a fumble, it's causing an incomplete pass, which absolutely can happen. win.
  21. I think if Thome is playing 90% of the time at DH, other players like Paulie might not be having seasons as good as this one. Either way, f*** it, I still love Jim, and I'll pull for him to get a ring if the Twins do indeed hold us off.
  22. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Sep 13, 2010 -> 10:18 AM) It has started off great. Best season so far. We're one episode in...
