I think you offer the same deal that was offered last year. This would show the organization still views him the same as they did coming off that unreal season, but we will not raise our offer after such a terrible 2009.

I must say, Brian Campbell's head has been pulled out of his ass for the most part thus far.

There was brief talk about this in the NHL thread. I know the dude wants to play hockey, but at some point you have to hang them up, as you're making a mockery of your career. Whatever, perhaps he looks good enough that some team adds him for the stretch run. I wish Chelly had never been run out of Chicago; he was one of the best defensemen of his era. That era, however, ended almost 10 years ago. This is definitely not HUGE for Chicago hockey fans. The HUGE thing is happening in the United Center with a Blackhawk on its chest. This is a PR stunt and nothing more, and definitely not a reason for me to watch Chicago Wolves hockey.

We will be much better served reserving the DH spot as a utility to give our players rest without taking their bat out of the lineup than locking down the position with a 40 year old albeit still solid hitter.
