  1. QUOTE(knightni @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 11:58 AM) http://cbs.sportsline.com/mlb/teams/report/NYY/9657228 Seems shady to me. he didn't have an official atbat, but the streak should stay at 21 and not move up (correct me if thats wrong)
  2. can't wait to get it as nerdy as this may sound, I can't wait for the new zelda
  3. hmm as long as 2/3 between MacDougal/Jenks/Thornton stays healthy were fine
  4. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 09:51 PM) ^^ At this point, all we can do is enjoy the ride, and for the best. ^^^^^^
  5. I just realized neil cotts also threw a scoreless inning today
  6. QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 05:21 PM) Remember that Minny is doing most of this damage at home, where they are the best in baseball. Let's see what happens when they go on the road... great point also, do all the people who pronounced the team dead last night still feel that way? the atmosphere of this team changes so much Its impossible to get an accurate judgement of how they will fare during the stretch run
  7. I've been considering it it would just be so depressing to make that drive for nothing though
  8. QUOTE(daa84 @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 05:14 PM) ive been a big freddy basher most of the year...but man he really stepped up...our pitching is clicking at the right time...this team could be extremely dangerous in teh playoffs if we get there with that in mind the most important thing about this win is that Minnesota finally lost again
  9. wow I just got home from school, I can't believe were up so much
  10. QUOTE(Whitewashed in @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 12:35 AM) You call those bozo's Boston tossed up at us good pitchers? I was talking about CC, Lackey and Santana
  11. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 12:30 AM) We've now scored in 3 innings out of our last 33 innings or so. thats true, but I don't necessarily think its because of lack of offensive approach that was infuriating me earlier in the year, its more of the fact that we just haven't been able to come up with hits (and keep in mind we've been facing good pitchers anyways)
  12. man the pessimism is driving me nuts around here, I know things don't look good but the season is not over it might be much harder to make the playoffs than we had hoped, but its not like we've dropped dead I think if we can hang even with detroit until next week and sweep them then we have a damn good chance at making the playoffs the recent play has been looking up, it just has not translated to wins tonights game was not as disgustingly bad as people are making it out to be. K-Rod has not allowed a run in 3 months and people are mad we blew an opportunity to score off of him? And besides that inning we only blew 1 other opportunity (less than the angels did); we had some hard hit balls that got caught, the Angels played some good defense and ended up with the win so yes it sucked, but the season isn't over
  13. hmm we've just had some games lately where we've played well and we haven't won that either means were poised for a late run or it just isn't our year
  14. my god with Buerhle on the mound I do not want Mack in cf right now I thought the idea of ozzie using his subs was so his starters would be rested for the stretch run and playoffs
  15. huge game as hawk would say, this game is important for the psyche of our team mark has been the staple of our rotation for the last few years, and nows the time to prove he still is
  16. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 09:46 AM) Im debating to buy tickets or not. I have no problem making the trek up to Minny, but im not going to make the drive if it doesnt mean anything. my family is considering buying tickets to that game and the michigan minnesota game directly afterwards its such a tough call because of the possible depression involved in that trip
  17. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 12:09 AM) Its better and I got to admit, I'm feeling a lot better because Vazquez/Garland/Contreras when pitching like they have been the past couple starts give us 3 formidable guys to throw out in the playoffs. When it comes to Buehrle/Garcia I got very little faith. Same can be said for anyone in our pen not named MacDougall, Thorton or Jenks. I agree, although freddy seems to at the very least keep us in the games, while Buerlhe has been the most inconsistent
  18. intensity looked existent tonight, but it seems to go down after every win, and that cannot happen anymore
  19. big win, can't afford to lose ground on the twinkies right now and Jose stepped up huge
  20. QUOTE(whitesoxin @ Sep 11, 2006 -> 09:51 PM) What just happened? My cable isn't working.. jermaine hits a hard line drive that lackey deflects off his mitt to the second basemen who makes a miraculous diving catch on it, then doubles off iguchi easily
  21. that was ridiculously bad luck unless the angels tried to do that
  22. I expect to lost tomorrow and saturday because I remember santana and Zito being dominant against us in the past anything better than a 4-2 week is a huge success if you ask me
