3 run homer right here it reminds me when crede dropped that manny ramirez pop-up in against the redsox a couple years ago -

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Apr 19, 2007 -> 08:08 PM) AJ's first swing with men on 2nd and 3rd with less than two outs is a home run cut. can't complain with the eventual result -

MARK BUEHRLE HAS PITCHED A NO-HITTER!
GoRowand33 replied to ShoeLessRob's topic in 2007 Season in Review
I just got back from the game, its really an indescribable feeling to witness a game like that all I can say is that Buerhle was phenomenal, and the defense really supported him through -
TV on the radio looks good, but i don't think I'm going

good job Jose -
I don't think I can ever be happy when we lose a series, regardless of its oakland if we get 1 I'll figure that all we ever get in oakland, but I'm not happy about it

QUOTE(The Bones @ Apr 6, 2007 -> 01:03 AM) yeah, i picked up in the aeroplane over the sea not too long ago after hearing so much about it and i love it. thinking about getting on avery island sometime soon. On avery island is a lot different than in the aeroplane over the sea, so be prepared for it if you buy it

Sorry if this has been brought up before but since I can't search I wasn't sure I've been getting into Neutral Milk Hotel lately the guys voice took a little getting used to, but his songs are great with abstract arrangements and interesting lyrics, along with good emotion its a shame he doesn't make records anymore

for the most part I love hawk I don't see why people don't like hawk being a homer, we are watching whitesox baseball on chicago television and we are all whitesox fans, why should we complain when the announcer is on our side? it makes the dramatic moments more exciting with his intensity an joy when we succeed, and I personally think he does an excellent job of letting the game speak for itself in tense situations rather than talking about nothing On the otherside, when things are going bad some of the stories he brings back are so entertaining it takes away from the depressiveness of the game He may get a little dull from time to time, but I think he's great

2007 White Sox Predictions Thread
GoRowand33 replied to southsider2k5's topic in 2007 Season in Review
My prediction: AL central is way overrated, the Indians will falter for the 2nd straight year, and the Tigers fall back to earth after their magical season I see the Twins and Whitesox battling for the division in a scrappy matter, with the Sox pulling on top with 88 wins -
Macdougal is my favorite out of the pen Dye would be my pick as the hitter because he strikes me as the most consistently smart hitter we have, but Joe Crede has also shown he can be clutch so he's not far behind In a must win game, I take garland when he's on a hot streak

Anybody interested in Sonic Youth? I picked up tickets for the Pitchfork Festival (friday only) to see them play Daydream Nation in its entirety I think its really cool to get to hear them play the entire album, considering many of those songs would never get played live on a regular tour http://pitchforkmedia.com/page/news/Sonic_...n_at_Pitc#41727

I beat the game in about 35 hours the game was the long, but the individual temples felt easier as the game progressed for me, and they failed to create temples that are so epic that I would want to rebeat them later

I'm really starting to love Neon Bible its more mature than funeral, and I think more well rounded the high's on NB (intervention, no cars go) aren't as good as the high's on funeral, but the less-good songs are stronger than the less-good songs on funeral The bands sound is more mature ( no more "happy coda's"), but some of the great emotional highs from funeral aren't found so much on Neon Bible Overall I'm thoroughly satisfied with the album though

The Wilco feels very safe and comfortable to me the songs are good, but its not a challenging album by any means on one end its disappointing to see the band kind of not push themselves that much, they have plenty of room to be more progressive in their next album

QUOTE(BobDylan @ Mar 4, 2007 -> 10:55 PM) It's a good album. I've held out from downloading the leak, but thats what I've heard. The reviews I've seen have been unanimously positive (with the exception of rolling stone), but nobody is hailing it as a masterpiece I'm not really convinced they could ever come out with an album as good as Funeral anyways, so its atleast good that their 2nd effort is still good QUOTE(bmags @ Mar 4, 2007 -> 11:12 PM) i'm going to hold out and not d/l wilco. that is one leak that I didn't hold out on since theres so much time to wait for the official release there is really a completely different sound for the band in this album its very light and mellow, but I'm still trying to decide if thats a good thing for me
