Yes, 7 weeks is too early for her to have developed the skills to comprehend what she was doing. They can "copy" repetition while you have their attention. But she wouldn't continue to do it if you stopped at this point. Don't take any advice on the stuff with your dad from here to heart - since all the details are not out there (and shouldn't be IMO). You and Ang know best what to do there. You'll make the right choice.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Dec 27, 2005 -> 10:59 AM) People have no sense I swear. BTW how many more copies of the Sox Pride DVD did you get She is a complete idiot. We call her and her husband "Tweedle dee and Tweedle dumb". No more. The family had enough sense to know I would have them already. I got some awesome stuff this year though.

Jim's stupid niece decided it would be a good idea to bring her kids over despite the fact that they were only 1 day removed from puking their guts up with the stomach flu and now 5 people that were over for Christmas Eve have been infected, including my pregnant sister And because of her we weren't able to go see Joey yesterday.

QUOTE(timotime @ Dec 27, 2005 -> 09:28 AM) magic johnson is no longer HIV positive...does anyone here know of that? if you can afford it, you can beat it. problem is, most people with AIDS are junkies and/or degenerates (there are, of course, exceptions) who cant afford the treatment Magic could. such is life. ce la vie. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 26, 2005 -> 08:07 PM) As others have said, there's probably more to the story than we've even been presented yet, but seriously, you need to get out of there if this sort of thing is happening. My fiance's relationship with her parents is awful, its' been 2.5 years since I got her 2000 miles away from them, and she still has problems with them of all sorts. The longer you're around them, when they're trying to kick you out over silly things, the longer you'll regret it. Even if you're still just in college...if you want a new year's resolution, resolve to end the year out of there. If it's so bad there that you're posting @ random message boards about how you've been kicked out of your house for drinking legally, then it's worse than probably even you're willing to acknowledge, and the longer you stay around there, the worse things will get. I wish I'd been able to get my Fiance out of her place earlier. Seriously man. The only way you can get things fixed in your own life is to try to build a life on your own. Btw, if she ever makes a name here...no one tell her about this post. Sounds to me like they are trying to help him with some tough love versus tossing him out for stupid reasons.

Ellie, the longtime O's bullpen coach, has passed away. Being close to several on the O's I knew Ellie well. Great guy, would give you the shirt off his back. He wasn't doing so good when I was in Baltimore earlier this year. He had a stroke and was holding his own... but you could see his days were getting shorter. A very sad loss.

QUOTE(WinninUgly @ Dec 23, 2005 -> 11:13 AM) Thanks! Now do you know if these are the limited edition bats, ie 5,000 made. If so, then I assume these are sold out for good. I found the standard WS Champion bat (not black), so I will buy one of those to ensure I at least get one. Yep, these WS ones are sold out for good. Although there are other versions of it on the net I've been told.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Dec 23, 2005 -> 01:50 AM) Anybody that is messed up enough to take their own life honestly has issues that we will never understand. Hence I am one of the few out there who refuses to pile on somebody who commits suicide, because we will never understand just how tormented and confused the person was. Poor them.. not around to deal with the mess of finding the body and being guilted the rest of their lives..

Prayers to the family. Ya just never know about some folks. Extremely selfish way to destroy the lives left living. A shame..

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10559027/ 14-pound baby girl born in Oklahoma Infant delivered by Caesarean section; wearing clothes for 9-month olds NBC VIDEO • Parents give birth to whopper Dec. 21: Adrienne and Anthony Ross of Pocola, Okla., talk about giving birth to the biggest baby ever born at Southeastern Oklahoma Hospital with the “Today” show's Alexis Glick. Updated: 11:08 a.m. ET Dec. 21, 2005 MCALESTER, Okla. - A baby girl weighing 14 pounds, 3 ounces was born at McAlester Regional Health Center, the largest baby ever born there, a hospital official said. Lillian Elizabeth Ross was born Friday by Caesarean section to Adrienne and Anthony Ross of Pocola. The baby already wears clothes made for children 6 to 9 months old. “The nursery had to go to pediatrics to get diapers for her because they didn’t have any that would fit,” Adrienne Ross said. “We’ve already had to start buying her new clothes. None of the stuff we bought will fit either.” According to the National Center for Health Statistics, less than 1 percent of babies weigh more than 11 pounds at birth.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Dec 23, 2005 -> 07:39 AM) That was the first time I saw all that in "realtime" on TV as this was the game I was lucky enough to attend. It was interesting to see that the people on TV were just as confused as those of us at the ballpark. Did they show that freak jumping up and down screaming when the game ended in section 108...

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Dec 21, 2005 -> 03:25 PM) I don't believe there is a floor, but one stipulation is that a player can't get less than 20% of what they were making the year before. That's why you see older players coming off of big contracts not get offered arbit for the next season, or players who were way overpaid in general. I thought it was 60%...

http://www.5newsonline.com/Global/story.asp?S=4254754 Arkansas Tech student found dead in possible murder Dec 19, 2005, 12:17 AM CST RUSSELLVILLE - Russellville police remain tight lipped about what caused the death of an Arkansas Tech University student. Police were called to a Russellville apartment Thursday night just before 7 p.m. Police wouldn't release many details other than it's an apparent homicide of a 19-year-old female Arkansas Tech student. Officials at the university confirmed sophomore Nona Dirksmeyer is that student. University leaders say they're cooperating with police and the school is directing all questions to local law enforcement, but they're answering very few questions...including the location of the crime scene. 5NEWS learned police responded to an apartment Thursday night, the home of Dirksmeyer. Coroner Leonard Kraut wouldn't say how she died, but he said she could have been dead for several hours before she was found. Neighbors say the last time they saw her was Wednesday night. They say Dirksmeyer lived in the apartment for about six months, and never bothered anyone. They say they told police there was a car parked outside of her apartment early Thursday afternoon that they didn't recognize. On Friday afternoon, police were still getting evidence from the apartment and a police car has been temporarily stationed outside of her apartment. The coroner says both he and police have been interviewing people, but wouldn't say anymore about the investigation. Nona Dirksmeyer is a 2004 graduate of Dover high school. Earlier this year she was crowned Miss Petit Jean Valley, and she was a contestant in the Miss Arkansas Pageant.

QUOTE(Iwritecode @ Dec 21, 2005 -> 02:49 PM) I don't think I've ever regifted anything. I usually don't know anyone that would like the stuff that I get. I'll just return it to Wal-Mart (they'll take back anything) and get somthing else that I do want. I sure as hell wasn't walking into Target (I don't shop at that s***hole WalMart) with 7 of the same DVD's. This is the second time I've regifted. The first was tickets to a play I had no interest in seeing, but my folks did. I added to the gift and sent them to dinner at the Grotto as well.

QUOTE(mreye @ Dec 21, 2005 -> 12:21 PM) I'm sorry. I'm having problems seeing this. Unless these are some powerful assed magnets. We've got the magnetic letters that go on the fridge that have bigger than and they fall off the fridge all the time. Yes, a 2 year old's intestines are smaller, but I just can't see it. I heard a snippit on Fox news that they are something called (or like) "rare earth" magnets. Those are the kind the manufacture supposedly uses (common for other toy makers as well). And they are apparently supposed to be that strong to hold the toy together. They did say they were not at all like the alpha magnets. I know what a 2 day olds intestines look like.. they are tiny.
