QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 03:20 PM) My favorite part was the whole wolves ordeal. Those wolves escaped the central park zoo, survived the 500 foot tidal wave that obliterated the city, survived the temperature drop that froze people solid instantly, then hunted for people around New York. The tempurature drop hadn't happened at that point.

The game thread was pretty interesting.
-
I'm just reading that thread now. Good stuff. Wish we had run into these RS fans when we were out there in August..
-
Oh good.. 7:20 on Wednesday is perfect.
-
If we play the Yanks.. I would guess we'll get the PM start. If not, the Cards and the Stros will get it. Plus thsi would be Wednesday's game, not tomorrow's game. Tomorrow will be 7pm.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Oct 9, 2005 -> 10:23 PM) You'd think. Selig has probably made his mind up already and if he has decided to change the start dates, he'd probably get press releases out within the next few hours. At least that would be the logical thing to do. It's not his decision.

QUOTE(mreye @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 12:03 PM) OK, let me get this straight... the church is on Wentworth between 37th and Pershing? Or 37th and the park? You enter the lot on Wentworth? The Church is at the corner of 37th and Wentworth. You turn into the lot about 500 before 37th street.

QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 11:58 AM) Half day of work for you then B) You know it... might even take off Wednesday so I don't have to worry about getting home in time for work from Tuesday night.

QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 11:48 AM) So with both the ALCS and NLCS playing Wednesday, what are the chances we get the night game? I'm assuming they are staggered, as on mlb.com it still has TBA on FOX for both games. I assume Yanks/Sox would be night, but would Angels/Sox push us to the late afternoon game? Sadly.. I'm betting we get the 3pm start..

QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 11:45 AM) Yeah and if F and church parking is full, you can always do into G, which is the gravel parking lot. But i would try church parking before anything else. Mmm.. Isn't G off of Normal with access from both 33rd and 35th..? The lot we parked in a couple years ago for a Cubs game..?

QUOTE(DePloderer @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 11:30 AM) Training injuries/sickness I would guess. Ah ha... TY.

QUOTE(mreye @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 11:38 AM) Thank you. That's the lot across the street from the E lot? No, that's the Church right on Wentworth. The lot across from E I believe is F. That's cash also though.

They said this morning only 36K ran.. why would people sign up then not do it.? Stocking.. congrats big time!! That is a HUGE accomplishment. I die after 6 miles these days so I can't even imagine the pain you were feeling. Way to overcome it and finish so well.

QUOTE(Big Hurtin @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 11:22 AM) No need to worry, Timo Perez could always play 1st.

I did read your post Nuke.. and I responded with the sarcastic smiley guy. I'm well aware that the bill was killed and there are a lot of assholes to blame for the levies not being right.. or the evacuation not being executed properly.. and the relief on all levels by ALL involved being questioned. I don't buy any of it.. they are all assholes. I call a spade a spade and dont "slurp" just because of who signs my checks..

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 10:49 AM) Damn, if anyone knows anyone that isnt using their parking pass for wed, let me know. Hmmm... is there a market for this thing..?

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 10:44 AM) LOL! I dont need bad language to get my point across here. A little well-placed sarcasm, and facts that are convieniently overlooked by you make the point far better. My point was that all of the finger pointing is BULLs***. It doesn't matter how or why it happened.. it did.. and many people died. Who was it screaming.. "lets drop the political bulls*** and get the people out of there..."...? Hmmm... was it you...? Yes.. I do believe it was you. But the first chance you get here you are slamming. Hypocritical... yea.. hypocritical. 1000 people died. Pretty f***ing asinine to overlook that FACT. IMO.. of course.
-
QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 10:32 AM) BUT BUT BUT Maybe if the bill wasn't killed over and over again over the years because of environmental concerns.......... :rolly Stellar comprehension there NUKE. I know.. tough since my post didn't include a "f*** you, you sorry ass cock sucking pieces of political democratic dog s***... suck it... bla, bla, bla.. yadda, yadda, yadda... "

QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 10:29 AM) And why did that great 3-way situation end so soon? That cop was a freak. I'm glad she's gone. Plus, she wasn't that hot. Kimber should bring in one of her porn friends.

QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 10:26 AM) Yeah, the line was out of control. Good thing they have those long playoff breaks between innings. I'm going to start wearing diapers. I can see it now 'Don't want to miss an inning of the Sox game? Trust Depends'. I had a bladder ache the rest of the night after that 6th inning. 58 minutes... good grief. I still can't believe it. My voice is just starting to come back.

QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 10:19 AM) Phhhh...shes harmless... If I was there I would've ordered rounds of chicken bites just because of that comment Sounds like you had a blast out there...I was watching at a friends, a couch was tipped over and pillows were placed strategically to ensure the victory... My strategy was to watch with a full bladder as I was sure if I went to the bathroom something bad would happen. LMAO... there was a loooong ass line for the mens room.
-
QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 10:11 AM) It was a great atmosphere. And I didn't get any chicken bites...Steff said it was going to be drinking and nothing else. I didn't want to piss her off. LMAO... and drink we did. Amazingly I wasn't even close to drunk. The win was totally sobering. I did just about start dancing on the table though.

QUOTE(EvilMonkey @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 10:04 AM) No the hurricane isn't the dems fault, but the negligent preparedness and first level response to the hurricane is. The failure to use city and school buses is. The failure to enforce a mandatory evacuation is. The using of levy money to build casions is. There is enough blame to go around here for all, but it started right there in the cradle of corruption. And that cradle includes ALL politicians. The two bottom lines here are that #1, anything over a 3 would have killed Louisiana.. and #2 many people refused to leave. No amount of planning would have done squat for those folks.

QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 10:05 AM) its too bad dirty champs isn't over there...oh the fun we'd have. Steff, weren't you surprised at how crazy that place got? I was. I could not believe it. It was amazing. We went to a bar out by us after visiting Jim's mom and the party went on until well into the wee hours of the AM... It was one for the recordbooks. My phone didn't stop ringing until about 2am!

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 09:45 AM) where is everyone tailgating? Jimbo's.
