QUOTE(NUKE @ Dec 15, 2006 -> 06:49 PM) Looking at that pic that looked like the band camp chick. Who is this then? She was the boarderline outcast hardass who wouldn't give any of the guys the time of day. And Vickey's best friend IIRC.
-
Alyson Hannigan played the "band camp" girl.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Dec 14, 2006 -> 08:03 AM) Yea, I know. I wasn't literally looking for an answer. But every little bit of validation helps. As many times as it's been documented around here, it still amazes me when a Soxtalker starts down that path. It's even worse when a local columnist starts spewing that garbage, but it happens. I saw the #1 Jerry/Kenny basher reading when I was on this morning so I took the opportunity to do a little b**** slapping. Oh boy... I see the wall in this threads future....

QUOTE(YASNY @ Dec 14, 2006 -> 06:09 AM) How many consecutive years have the Sox invested profits directly into payroll? How many times has it been discussed and proven around here? Yet, everytime something happens that can be twisted to look like there is an outside chance that they'll cut payroll, multitudes start screaming that JR is lining his pockets. Every year that they've made profits. 9 of the last 11 years. Also it's worth mentioning, again, that Jerry is NOT the majority holder and there are several in line BEFORE him that would get their pockets lined before he even saw a dime.

QUOTE(05 Sox R1 @ Dec 13, 2006 -> 10:15 PM) Mike and Miller are great guys. They get it. The others are too busy trying to outdo each other on the way down the pit to notice how they appear to sober people. Don't know who Miller is but I would say your latter assesment of a lot of the Dugan's crowd is spot on.

QUOTE(05 Sox R1 @ Dec 12, 2006 -> 11:14 PM) Those people who claim they are fun to tailgate with never have anything positive to say about anything or anyone. They won't be missed Friday. Oh wait, I'm wrong. They do say something positive, they keep saying "I like beer." Deep. Mike is plenty of fun to be around. As a troll mult I'm sure you are aware. QUOTE(Hangar18 @ Dec 13, 2006 -> 08:40 AM) That is the funniest thing you have ever said! Speaks volumes. Just about the pitch of a female dog I'd guess.
-
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Dec 12, 2006 -> 09:19 AM) I will say these guys are a fun group to tailgate and party with. Consider that the official southsider endorsement I don't believe any (other than Hangar - though I don't recall him being in attendance for any length of time) of the folks you know from the tailgates I am aware you have attended will be at this function.
-
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Dec 11, 2006 -> 10:57 AM) Damn I wish I had the money to do this... Silly baby wants to eat though... We got a group from the tailgate doing it if you want to join in I'll see if there is room.

QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Dec 9, 2006 -> 11:17 PM) Hypocricy, thy name is numerous Soxtalk posters who are attempting to crucify MB. Consistency I would say. At least they are expressing the same dissatisfaction now as they did then unlike numerous others.
-
QUOTE(SpringfieldFan @ Dec 8, 2006 -> 10:13 AM) Regarding the Buehrle/Cards situation...what if it were a Cub hat he were wearing? Then the same things some of the hypocrites who are bashing Jerry now, and who were bashing Mark when the pic was posted, would STFU. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Dec 8, 2006 -> 09:12 AM) I don't think being out of shape, which both he and his manager have pointed to as perhaps a reason for his freefall the 2nd half of 2006, is conducting business like a consummate professional. Wearing Cardinal gear to a MLB game and getting photographed wearing it, or declaring your desire to play for the Cardinals is not respectful to the team paying you. He has stated that the Cardinal crap would stop, but just about every offseason, it happens again. That is petty bulls***. How dare you have an opinion...

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Dec 7, 2006 -> 11:47 PM) Read the quote 3 times, and don't see a thing wrong with it. How often have we talked about Mark walking after the season is over. It's an every day thing around these parts. Jerry is telling it how he see's it, which is the way most everyone sees it Apparently everyone here who was s***ting on Mark during the WS has forgotten their actions. :rolleyes

QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Dec 5, 2006 -> 11:33 AM) Steff, I'd guess it would collect dust. But, if you have entertain friends with kids, this would be great. The more we talk about it, the more he's leaning that way also. I think we've decided to wait until our son is old enough to play it. By that time I will guess version 15 will be out QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Dec 5, 2006 -> 05:46 PM) Id wait until a tiger woods golf game comes out for it... not sure if there is one yet. The wii sports are fun but they can only last you so long... especially the golf since its only the same 9 holes. He didn't realize that when he played it, so that's what saved me from buying it.
-
QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Dec 4, 2006 -> 12:02 PM) I've got the solution so it doesn't gather dust: You get Jim the Wii, THEN you send me all his golf clubs LMAO... I say deal, but he says "the kid is obviously on crack". I'm betting high that the only way those clubs are leaving his possession are if I can pry them from his cold dead hands. You should have them by the time you're 50

QUOTE(gosox41 @ Dec 3, 2006 -> 06:54 PM) That's good. While Frank was no saint during the marriage (I remember seeing him after home games at the Hunt Club many a time), I've heard some nasty things about her. Bob In the 9 years previous to their divorce that I was around her I never heard or saw anything that would even be close to being called "nasty" being done by her. She was the model wife. Unfortuntely, she was a baseball players wife and one that didn't take monogony seriously. After the divorce all bets were off and she started acting like him. Thankfully she's back to normal now. It wont be long and #2 will be singing the same tune.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Dec 2, 2006 -> 06:39 PM) Id say the sports games are one of the best things about the system. The Wii Sports tennis and golf are extremely fun. The madden, well if your willing to take the time to get used to it is extremely fun. I dont know if Jim will like it or not... has he even been into consoles b4? A kid was playing tennis and I was impressed at how the remote responded to his every slight move. Jim has never been a video game guy. And he golfs every Sunday (at least) during the spring, summer, and fall which is why I'm afraid of it gathering dust from March to October. So it will likely be a last minute decision if I get it for him. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Dec 2, 2006 -> 07:32 PM) And at that time you mail it to me and we can get someone banned LMAO. Deal!
-
QUOTE(gosox41 @ Dec 1, 2006 -> 10:27 PM) I never heard that. I thought she moved out of Chicago after the divorce. Bob The kids love their dad too much for her to do that. She does what's best in that regard.
-
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 2, 2006 -> 11:10 AM) It really is a fun system but something I wouldn't buy as I think it's going to be odd as hell for actual sports games. He looked strange doing the golf with the remote thing. Not holding an actual club was somthing I didn't think he would like. He seemed ok with it though. The thing I am worried about is that he would get bored with it fast and it would end up collecting dust.

Jim saw this at the mall yesterday - consumed by the golf game. For those that know him, you think this would be a winner for me to get him..? And do the graphics distort any on a larger (60 inch) tv? They had it on 35 inchers at the mall.
-
Got to work to find out they closed the office.. morons. But got a ton of shopping done and I only have Jim and a couple others to buy for then I am done!!

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Nov 30, 2006 -> 11:21 PM) Royce Clayton was sleeping with Thomas' wife. I believe Thomas and his wife were divorced at the time but I'm not SURE about that. All the same, Thomas wasn't happy about it, They were a few years divorced at the time. Though the circumstances and behavior by both her and Royce were out of line, IMO.

We got about 2 inches here in Plainfield so far. It's ice raining now. Should be a fun ride into work.

QUOTE(Middle Buffalo @ Nov 26, 2006 -> 09:10 PM) I just finished decorating the outside of my house for Christmas. Everything was fine until I got to the last strand of lights, and then a fuse blew. Now I have to re-wire everything. Humbug. Happened to us also. Finally figured out it was the strand at the start of the connection and changing that fuse, breaking the length of the current, and running an additional extension cord to even the same outlet, just a different plug, solved the problem.

I see having a differing opinion still get's some all pissy and attacked around here... :rolleyes

Flowers are, IMO, a horrible gift idea. They die. A DVD set of her fav show is an excellent option at that age and dating length. Or a Vermont Teddy or a Pajamagram are good choices as well. Anything that can be looked at to remember the thought behind the gift are winners. No jewlery just yet, IMO.
