QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jan 5, 2007 -> 12:12 PM) They don't just nod at each other and then head up to the hotel room, lol. 95% of the time that is exactly how it's done.

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jan 1, 2007 -> 09:28 PM) IIRC, it was Norm Van Lier that first hinted at it publically. There were also multiple newspaper columnists that hinted at the same thing. This is from some dude named Mark Whicker. He wrote for the Orange County Register at the time. I understand it was talked about, as I said. Those boys however were never linked in that way.

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jan 1, 2007 -> 01:47 AM) And it came out a little while later that the two guys that killed James Jordan had no idea it was Michael's father. Of course, it's alot sexier/juicier to speculate that his gambling had something to do with it. His ID said James Jordan and he was wearing an NBA ring and you believe they didn't know who he was....? The gambling was a valid concern at the time - and the reason for his "baseball career". I don't ever recall those kids being accused of being hired by someone Jordan owed money to, the only place it was mentioned was in theory.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Dec 31, 2006 -> 02:42 AM) I'm driving to the game tomorrow night and don't want to park in the 'official' parking lots, or whatever they are, just off of Lake Shore. I usually only go to one or two games a year, but when I do drive, I'm normally able to find a spots on 18th street (I believe that's where it is) just west of the stadium. The thing is, though, I'm always worried about getting a ticket or getting towed because the parking lots I park in seem rather 'shady'. Any advice? Any parking garages within ten-fifteen blocks of the stadium that one could recommend? I wouldn't park on 18th tonight. Cops are going to be all over the place. There's going to be 300k+ people down there aside from us at the game. We're parking over off Harrison by our friends condo which is a bit of a walk, but it will get us out of the city after the fireworks faster. There are public lots all over the place, but with all the folks staying downtown I would guess the closer to the field the harder it will be to find them. Leave early and take the first thing you see rather than searching for something better. You might end up driving around for a while.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Dec 30, 2006 -> 08:30 AM) Or, just to play devil's advocate, maybe she wanted her kids to have a two-parent home during their younger years and tried to hang on for that reason. I don't know her, so I don't know her reasons for staying then or leaving now, but sometimes one parent tries to stay for the sake of the kids until they can't take it anymore. No devil's advocate at all. Seeing his kids and how they act I have no doubt she knew exactly what was up, and stayed for those 3 reasons and no other. 5 years ago MJ was crying his eyes out begging her to stay so he could remain in his kids lives full time. She wasn't a fool, she was a mother. But it's cute how he's the dickhead cheater yet she gets called stupid. :rolleyes

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Dec 30, 2006 -> 03:17 PM) I saw the clips on CNN as they tightened the noose. He didn't look defeated, nor did he look afraid, nor did he look like a raving madman (other than looking like Saddam...which I guess is a raving madman). He spoke with a few of the executioners, and it looked like they explained what he needed to do. He seemed very cooperative. That's what I saw also. Seems the only issue was his reluctance to wear the hood.

QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ Dec 29, 2006 -> 07:50 PM) I banged KW's cleaning lady two hours ago and she told me that the Sox are gonna trade for Griffey and Chavez for Nick Lemon's shoes, Demetrius Banks and a new offensive statistic. I'll keep u doods posted. Damn you!!! I was just going to edit in a Chavez bit.

QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Dec 29, 2006 -> 07:39 PM) Me or Tejada? I'm pretty sure I'm more bored since Tejada has about 11 mil to spend on finding something entertaining to do. The person who started the rumor, which if I wasn't clear, I think is complete poo poo.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Dec 27, 2006 -> 06:11 PM) Reading between the lines, and knowing how the Sox deal, there is no doubt in my mind. QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ Dec 29, 2006 -> 07:32 PM) And somebody will tell you real soon that Tejada will NEVER play for the Sox. Tejada almost DID play for the Sox before going to Baltimore. Never say never. With that, I'm on the record saying this dude is bored.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 20, 2006 -> 02:10 PM) Just got back from Rocky. I liked it cause I like all of them but it wasn't great. 4th or 5th best of the series imo. We just got back from seeing it and loved it. It was exactly what it was supposed to be. Slurred speech, bad acting by the stupid ass unappreciative son, and an ending that was as realistic as it could be in Hollywood. Way better than 5, on par with 4 but I give this one the edge because of the flashbacks.

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Dec 29, 2006 -> 07:05 PM) Anyone ever seen Billy Joel? He's coming to Birmingham in February and I am thinking about going. The tickets are pretty pricey, but I think it may be worth it. Waaaayyyy worth it. He is amazing in concert.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 27, 2006 -> 04:21 PM) Someday, we will see those names. Unfortunately or fortunately (depending on how you look at it), it will include something like 20 White Sox players...because they all refused to take the tests to make sure that the 2004 tests were triggered. It's only unfortunate if they tested positive.

QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 25, 2006 -> 09:28 PM) I got the coolest Sox related gift ever. A Hawk + DJ dual bobblehead of them sitting at their desk. I'll try and put pics up later. Seriously, you cannot grasp the awesomeness until you see it. Someone gifted you a giveaway. I was sitting in the patio for that game. We put bags over their heads. It was brutal.
