  1. I could tell you, but then I would have to run you through a democratically elected board of Trustees who decides what is allowable and what must be escalated to another board who then decides what to elevate to the status of needing further review. Just kidding. We'd kill you.
  2. It was, and it has been moved to record keeping for posterity.
  3. And this is why Soxtalk quit allowing politics. This is over now. Thanks guys.
  4. Walks first batter, then throws 1 pitch to the 2nd one and exits without another throw. Waiting to hear why.
  5. New ownership might also want a more integrated neighborhood.
  6. The 2030 class? As in the international market? If that is accurate this kid would be 11 or 12 years old right now. Seems kind of crazy.
  7. He is 33 years old, but still isn't eligible for free agency for basically another full season.
  8. Hopefully Vargas is actually healthy
  9. They have had almost 40 years to do that, and they still have not. Pretty clear it isn't going to happen.
  10. They had a farm team that was already better than the White Sox and they spent the season doing nothing but adding to it. They may be down, but they won't be nearly as out. Meanwhile the Sox managed to cash in on only two guys and kept a bunch of others who should have been cashed in on.
  11. Williams has a lot of flaws, but he also has a ton of upside. I really get the impression that this is the first real coaching that he has gotten as a professional, so I am definitely willing to give him this as if it was his rookie year. He obviously needs to get tightened up on his reads and his throws, but at the same time you can't deny the toolbox. Keep working with him and see what happens because we are a ways away from even knowing what Caleb is.
  12. Yeah, I mean probabilities do exist for a reason, but nothing is absolute. It's a futile exercise in counting your chickens before they hatch.
  13. It's almost like when I said there was a 100% chance that some of these guys would fail, I was right. Anyway, just like this season, guys are going to break out, while others flop. I know I would have laughed at the idea that McDougal might have had the best season for a SP at a higher level going into the season. You can make educated guesses, but baseball is baseball for a reason.
  14. Especially bad when the Vikings return game kicked our asses all night. Their big returns shortened fields, and allowed their offense great starting field position, especially in the 2nd half.
  15. I do wonder why the assumption is we shouldn't mess with things comes from. We just turned in the worst Sox single attendance season in decades. Looking at adding more walk up fans makes tons of sense.
  16. Missed FG Blocked punt 17 yd per punt return. 5 kick returns with the shortest being 25 yards
  17. Bears special teams cost them this game.
  18. We have got to draft, sign, and develop our OWN TALENT. Giving up Garrett Crochet to get Braden Montgomery isn't the same as drafting and developing Braden Montgomery. If you want to build a sustainable model, you HAVE to be able to develop your own talent. If we fall into the same model of developing someone else's draft picks only to trade them for the next talent, we will also repeat the cycle of busts and failure.
  19. Hell, judging by how fair weather the Sox fan base is, making it easier to get to games by being in a transit friendly neighborhood, especially if a ballpark village type of situation happens, may actually be the best thing to ever happen to growing the fanbase, because as of now, Sox fans only show up to the current location after years of sustained winning.
  20. I said this during the last rebuild, and still stand by it. We can try to sell the guys who we traded for all we like, but if the farm system Chris Getz hired someone new to be in charge isn't hugely more successful than the farm system Chris Getz himself was in charge of, this is all just masterbation theater. It's all about player development. Hell at this phase of the last rebuild, Rick Hahn was getting GM of the year mentions.
  21. It just went from 4 goons, to "the guy in the eagles jersey". The two guys two rows in front never reached down. The guy who got the ball picked it up on the side of the seat. Even the guy in the Eagles jersey seems to be in the row in front of her, and reaching straight down. If you actually look at it, she is reaching down a row. If this is even accurate, because based on the video that isn't at all clear, her problem was with the guy in the Eagles jersey, because the guy who got the ball reached down by side of the seat, and not "in between her legs". She sure didn't chase him down, so that sure doesn't seem to be the problem here.
