The President is making money off of this and is setting up for 2024.

The more options you give the legal system to point to something not being right, the more chances you give it to get it thrown out. A right to a speedy trial is at the top of the list right now. I wonder if a double jeopardy argued might also come up.

The longer this goes, the more you figure we are just going internal. Make of that what you will.

Like I said...

We get it.

We are all here on a message board where this type of stuff has happened for years. I think we all know that there is a fair chance it might be made up. This is a surprise to exactly no one. its the off season. This happens.

One went on record in 1999 as saying it. Again, this isn't new. He thought he would have heard about it, but missed it.

Even Kenny isn't really interested in claiming credit here. https://www.mlb.com/whitesox/news/ken-williams-on-tony-la-russa-white-sox-hiring

I suddenly want Jake to get picked.

No Drake, no deal.

This didn't age well.

I won't say "stand pat" but I also don't see us pulling in the top level players either.

None of this was undertaken with the pandemic in mind.

I have zero inside info, but it would't shock me at all if the Sox connection to rumors is more for good press to push the TLR stuff out of the headlines, than actual fire with the Sox spending a lot this winter.

Again, why are we pretending that this is a new thing for Tony? These accusations have followed him for decades, so this isn't anything to do with RIGHT NOW.

but SOCIALISM!

If you are still doing this at 76, you have a pretty big problem.

Hopefully this is more of a situation where the Braves wanted their guy versus this is what the market is going to look like.
