They did seem to step up to the plate with the 6/100 a couple of years down the road for sure. Could the Sox have interested him in something like a Tim Anderson or Eloy Jimenez type deal even earlier? Who knows. But again, the Sox do about as good of a job of this as anyone in MLB.

Lindor is EXACTLY the kind of players that the Sox would have done everything they could to extend early. They have a long history of doing exactly that.

Which still has nothing to do with dismantling an active playoff team. Think of it this way. The Sox missed out on the top free agent because they were cheap after a 100 loss season. The Indians are actively shopping their best players because they are cheap after a 91 win season.

And are shutting down a playoff contending team.

According to Forbes, the Indians still made $31 million in 2018. That is without all of the off of the books stuff that we know exists. They are also on the low end of the debt to equity equation which means they aren't drowning in debt like other teams. The Indians are not poor. In fact they pulled in more revenue than the White Sox did in 2018.

It is all about the layer of separation and the plausible deniability.

I know that when I was that age, the winning and losing was secondary to the experience and the time with my dad. I feel like if I asked my 11 and 13 year olds who won the last game we went to they wouldn't remember the score as much as they would everything that happened at the game. Thos memories are what the point is, not the win or loss.

Honestly they shocked me with how they adjusted after Q left. It took them about a month but once it clicked they went from literally worst team in hockey to almost the 8th seed. If you play a whole season like that, this would have been a mid tier playoff team. Obviously the D and goaltending really needs some work, but wow what a difference. On a side note, does this team miss Hossa or what. He retired and everything fell apart.

That is a ton of range and a great read. He is in left center to start that.

Apparently Yoan won something equivalent to a gold glove at 3B in Cuba. Hahn said they were surprised at how quickly he has adjusted to 3B.
