This is a great success story for a team that needed some wins when it came to drafting and development. They took a pretty raw basketball player, and turned him into a batting champion.

For Cease it is all about control. I don't know that the number exists, but it feels like he throws ball 1 way too often, and works in from behind, which makes him more vulnerable than he should be. I also think he doesn't yet have the ability to spot his pitches, which is also hurting him. The stuff is there, but he is still really young and learning how to be a pitcher instead of a thrower. We can talk about spin and carry all you want, but if you can't work ahead and spot your pitchers, it doesn't matter.

This should be a really fun and memorable one. Though usually that means we lose 11-2.
