  1. RR mentioned it was possible the other day. No real rumors or news beyond that.
  2. So that explains the lack of a roster move.
  3. Baseball reference gives the Sox a 60.8% chance. https://www.baseball-reference.com/leagues/MLB/2020-playoff-odds.shtml#playoff_prob_mlb::27
  4. The really good thing for us is the remainder of our schedule is pretty low. Ours is .518, while Cleveland is .543 and Minnesota is .555. We have a real shot at a top 2 slot in the division still, especially if Clevinger and Pleasac are gone for.
  5. Sox now sitting at 73.8% playoff chance according to fangraphs, still 7th in AL.
  6. something something, same mistake over and over again.
  7. My guess is he was called up because of Moncada being dicey in terms of health and it gives them an extra IF just in case.
  8. Ruiz came up during that time as well.
  9. After this season unless something crazy happens.
  10. Cuthbert will go before Goins will.
  11. Yeah Leury was a swing man there, but now the roster balance is different without him. After thinking about it, if isn't a new injury, I am going to guess Jose Ruiz goes back to Schamburg.
  12. Thinking it over, I suppose they could have also sent down a RP.
  13. Has to be an OF one if that is the case.
  14. If this was the normal 2020 baseball season, we would be somewhere around the middle of April when you think of how many games have been played so far, in a season played essentially without a spring training.
  15. Wow, I had no idea it was this bad.
  16. And that would be a very Indians thing to so. I know everyone hates our management for being cheap, but the Indians are about the worst in baseball.
  17. Yeah, but his exit velocity was very slow.
  18. Also interesting is the list of Sox players showing up in the top of the DRS chart. http://fieldingbible.com/DRSLeaderboard
  19. This hasn't been talked about much so far with the offensive misery, but the defense for the Sox has been a huge positive this year. They currently rank 4th in MLB in defensive runs saved
  20. Also accurate, for the record.
  21. Yeah, let me put it this way... There have been 23 perfect games in MLB history, and 303 no hitters. Those dominate the news cycle, including in game interruptions for coverage. 4 consecutive homers has happened 10 times in major league history, or about twice as rare as a perfect game, for perspectives sake.
