  1. I did try to get tickets from them at Sox park, and didn't even qualify for the lottery.
  2. Then why does batting average drop the harder a pitcher throws?
  3. I hope this isn't serious.
  4. The issue is that the average dude out of the back of a ML Bullpen in 2025 throws harder than all of those dudes. In fact, almost every starter in baseball can bring a standard Nolan Ryan 95 mph fastball, or better. The league average is just under 95 today. 20 years ago it was about 90. If we get back to the 1930s when guys were going 300 innings, it was expected to be in the low 80's. A sorry Nick Nastrini dropped into the Babe Ruth era would be the GOAT. It's about effort, not length in 2025. There is a reason no one ever tried to get Usian Bolt to run 9.7 pace for 26 miles, and that is it is impossible. It's the same with starters. If you are going to throw harder, your outings will be shorter.
  5. He looked terrible too. Just nothing left in him.
  6. Send him before he turns into a pumpkin.
  7. Miguel Vargas for starters...
  8. So far they just have the open roster spot, I think.
  9. Was looking at Vargas splits, I think the most interesting thing besides his June numbers regressing to his career norms, is that dude is a total road warrior.
  10. With MLB deciding that betting on baseball isn't important anymore, I can't even bring myself to people who cheated to win.
  11. I'd love some mediocrity right now.
  12. Not losing 100 games?
  13. Hopefully he's tired, and not getting figured out.
  14. When you have enough talent coming together all at once to threaten. 500, I will listen. We can't even threaten lwss than 100 losses right now.
  15. If only someone would.
  16. There is no point in putting him on waivers if you aren't going to DFA him. DFA at least allows you to clear him off of the 40 if he is not claimeds.
  17. I have walked past it dozens of times, as I previously told you. It is also one of the very few truly open lots in the city of Chicago of any size, hence the attractiveness of being able to plan something big from the ground up. It is located close enough to downtown to be able involve pretty much any and all modes of transit, making it a more accessible ballpark for those visiting the city, as well as those in the metro area. As for the rest of it, I am not taking your bait to debate a non-existent plan.
  18. They quit watching baseball about the same time period.
  19. Of course it is. But that doesn't make it unbuildable in modern engineering. WAY more difficult blocks and buildings have been built on in this country. There isn't anything about that lot that isn't fixable. We have built on reclaimed rivers, oceans, swamps, lakes, etc. We have built on landfills, dumps, railways, and everything else.
  20. Sure, but I am changing the channel from CapraVision.
  21. These are billionaires fighting millionaires for more money. Do you think either side cares about "PR"? Absurd. Nothing indicates that they are NOT going to be locked out,
  22. Now the question is how many games does Capra/Rojas start in front of him?
  23. He had to be something if he was claimed. Designated for assignment or waivered has to be it.
  24. I don't recall seeing him DFAd. When did that happen?
  25. They are the NBA version of what Jerry wants for the White Sox. Just good enough to sell tickets, but not so good as to cost money.
