  1. He doesn't care about chairman. He wants the team to transfer when he dies. Hence this structure. The whole world can see it. The only uncertainty is when Jerry is going to die.
  2. You mean like when he laughed at White Sox fans about the idea that he would approve a contract to sign Shohei Ohtani?
  3. Now is the chance to get him to sign 4 @ 10 per!
  4. There are guys who are talented enough to get attention for themselves, and there are the ones who can only do it at someone else's expense. I think we know where Mr Detroit Radio Host falls.
  5. He's not the best color man in baseball for nothing.
  6. ITS HAPPENING!_!_!_>@#L>#_)IU!@_
  7. We DO have SOME evidence from the brothers time involved in the Phoenix Suns.
  8. It is nice to see a bit bigger of a name moved, hopefully this starts to break the dam.
  9. Look the idea that holding on to Luis and seeing if you get a rebound next year is a sane one. The team is actually at such a low payroll ebb they could do this in concept. My issue is 100% betting on Luis Robert to be healthy, again. Even if he has actually been healthy this year for like the second time in his career, would you bet on him doing it two years in a row with $20 million on the line? Eh. For me, I would even take a decent pitching return to move him along and let the next team worry about it.
  10. Looks like another low return. The Os got the #19 and an unranked prospect from the Mets.
  11. Just hit the wire.
  12. I do not believe that is allowed.
  13. Not to mention it is quite literally in there that he is paying off Jerry's debts, and that is what is spending his money on. That and (not listed) most likely a stadium.
  14. Don't give Getz any ideas.
  15. Yes because he hasn't been spending already, but sure. Stay mad.
  16. Dude has probably a billion dollars in lifetime earnings ahead of him if he lives up to his ceiling. If he is content after only his rookie contract, he was never going to be good.
  17. Or when we get a new owner...
  18. If we take 22 players at an average of 800k (so slight above min) that is $17.6 million. My guess is that Tauchman and Wilson probably get moved (Wilson a lot more than Tauch) so that moves that money out. Civale probably doesn't, but I am going to guess we non-tender him. We could easily spend $30-50 million this off season without really hurting.
  19. Yeah, I went through this. Literally the only guy the Sox are obligated to in 2026 is Benny. Even if they didn't trade Robert, he is on a team option. A couple of guys hit arb, like Wilson and I think Civale, and then whatever weirdness that Tauch has. Other than that, the entire roster is pre-arb or free agents.
  20. All of Soxtalk was laughing at it, and then it turned like the Anakin meme.
