  1. Real nice twist on the end of Mr Robot. Can't wait for the next season. I watched both ID's and CBS's version of the Ramsey case. They both approached it differently, but I was much more sold on what CBS did with attempting to prove and disprove some of the traditional pieces of the case, versus just reporting on what actually happened.
  2. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Sep 21, 2016 -> 09:29 AM) I enjoyed The Good Place. Some good laughs in there. Excited for Designated Survivor tonight. Would have been 100 times better on a cable network, though, so I'm not holding my breath. Watched it, and interested. They set up some decent story lines potentially, though I am already annoyed with the whole general who will do anything to go to war guy.
  3. QUOTE (Coach @ Sep 22, 2016 -> 07:19 AM) I understand that. Most catchers do since they have been squatting and are not stretched out for sprints. Not many people understand that. But his competitiveness was second to none. He even called out his own teammates for not hustling. That being said, he is one of the reasons why the Sox beat the Angels. Remember the dropped 3rd strike? Honesty it goes back to the point the Sox made with Adam Eaton about being smarter when playing the game.
  4. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Sep 22, 2016 -> 07:11 AM) Honestly, I'd shut every starter down and hope to lose out in order to get the 10th pick. There's nothing to play for anyway at this point. The 10th pick only matters really if they are planning on going on and signing a front line free agent. I don't think that is going to happen.
  5. QUOTE (Coach @ Sep 22, 2016 -> 05:41 AM) We can disagree on a few things but what I was trying to point out is no matter what talent level a team has, it takes more than that to be champions. It takes heart. I see that most, if not all, players on the Sox want to win. After all, that's what athletes want most. And at most times, I see hustle. But it should drive everyone crazy when we see players not hustling to 1st base and such. This is just 1 example so don't get your panties in a bunch. Hustling to 1st on routine grounders or even dropped 3rd strikes can make or break a game. Ask A. J. about that. But consistent championship teams have that hustle on every play in every inning no matter on offense or defense. Now, that being said, for you to put people down like you did means you may not be interested in an intelligent conversation. If it makes you feel better to put others down who may disagree with you, go right ahead. I really don't care. PLEASE DON'T RESPOND TO THIS. I AM DONE WITH YOU AND AM NO LONGER INTERESTED IN WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY! AJ was one of the best at putting his head down and dogging it to first on a routine ground out.
  6. QUOTE (Black_Jack29 @ Sep 21, 2016 -> 03:34 PM) I'm also not buying this idea that the players are dogging it. That completely contradicts what I see. The Sox are barely going to score 650 runs this season. THAT'S the problem. I haven't really seen a lack of effort. Take last night. Down 4 runs in the 9th, they still were fighting to get back into an absolutely meaningless game.
  7. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Sep 21, 2016 -> 10:29 AM) I don't think there's any chance that it's Renteria. I just feel like they would have had him take over this season if it were going to be him. Rumor was that he didn't want to take over midseason. He didn't want to do that to Ventura.
  8. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Sep 21, 2016 -> 08:23 AM) Defensively in right field, yes. Great to see the White Sox playing him much of September in center. 12th in all of baseball. 7th in the AL. http://www.fangraphs.com/warleaders.aspx?s...m=all&type=
  9. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 21, 2016 -> 12:05 AM) I'm all about the military. If ONE military man or woman is upset then I am upset. I respect the hell outta the military. Colin is going about this in a very wrong way. When it is the last time you protested the VA?

  11. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Sep 20, 2016 -> 09:42 PM) I seriously hope it's a physical issue. Back problem that heals with rest and he is good to go next year With everything surrounding the trade, it really is the thing that makes the most sense. A back issue also explains how the guy can go from nearly flawless, to freaking horrible from start to start.
  12. QUOTE (oldsox @ Sep 20, 2016 -> 05:18 PM) Wrong again. Landis wasn't yet with Sox in 1955. His first full year was 1959; he came up for a few games the year or two before that. Try that attitude out here. https://twitter.com/CST_soxvan
  13. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 20, 2016 -> 06:17 PM) Deliberately lying with a racist veneer to take advantage of visceral hatred of the president by a minority of Americans versus maintaining a position that was in alignment with the majority of the country at the time...and her religious beliefs. You can argue all you want that some Democrats only jumped on the LGBT train when it was too late, but that's politics for you. It's one of the main reasons Obama won in 2008, he was courageous enough to take an early stand against the Iraq War. Clinton is a politician, and she waffles when it's politically expedient...shifting with the wind and pollsters (see TPT deal or NAFTA.) That said, you can't remotely compare the two, or you're going to end up with every single Republican looking even more intolerant, unless you're going to take the Pence position here that your personal opposition still resides in moral/Biblical grounding and will never waver, no matter what. This is what I mean about making excuses for it...

  17. Austin Karp @AustinKarp The 8.3 overnight rating for Eagles-Bears is ESPN's lowest "MNF" Week 2 figure in a while. At least 2009. Eagles-Colts did a 9.3 in 2015
  18. Daryl Van Schouwen ‏@CST_soxvan 2h2 hours ago Adam Eaton's 18 outfield assists, which lead majors, are most by a #WhiteSox OF since Minnie Minoso and Jim Landis had 19 each in 1955.

  22. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Sep 20, 2016 -> 12:56 PM) Please explain why? He busts his ass and is extremely talented. Just because you've been consistently proven wrong about him doesn't mean he's not a winner. 9th best position player in baseball. Touche. Yeah, in fact Adam Eaton was trying so hard the organization had to tell him to dial back because he was injuring himself from doing things like running into walls to make plays, and pulling muscles running so hard to first base. The last thing I could ever describe Adam Eaton with is a lack of desire.
  23. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 20, 2016 -> 11:32 AM) It's completely fair to be down on Jay and still understand that changing coordinators so often has probably affected his performance because how couldn't it? That and some of the worst offensive lines in recent history.

  25. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 20, 2016 -> 10:39 AM) For some reason a couple of months ago I speed-read through the 2010-11 NFC championship thread, oh man the hot takes on how Cutler was such a wuss. Yes. But we now have half a decade of seeing him getting get his ass kicked and injured to add t that data.
