  1. But greg told us the problem is pitchers don't throw enough innings anymore???
  2. Actually more specifically highlighted in red.
  3. No one I would not expect a press conference outlining exactly what security measures military bases were applying in a time of emergency. That information is quite literally classified. As to your safety, as was already pointed out, it was addressed, you are just to scared to read apparently. Probably should work on that duck and cover again.
  4. I am amazed someone would spent this much time trying to sanctify Chris Getz, but here we are.
  5. I know you think your edgy, but your still being here tells everyone how active your imagination actually is.
  6. Getting the Sox to move into the 2010s is a huge step forward. Maybe by the 2030s we will sign a real free agent.
  7. The Pirates are going to add a big salary? This is obviously a troll account.
  8. We gave up cash? I bet Jerry takes that out of Getz Christmas bonus.
  9. Cubs fans should be pissed that with all of the financial advantages they have over all of the small market teams in their division they are choosing to be cheap af. Keep Bellinger AND pay for pitching. The Cubs are an ATM that prints money. I wouldn't have thought the Ricketts would be so cheap, but here we are.
  10. I expect them to not divulge classified information about national security, for starters.
  11. It is a quality post to tell someone they don't know what gaslighting means.
  12. You telling people to stop gaslighting is highly entertaining, as is pretending that you aren't responding to all of these posts like you are being paid to put out propaganda. If you don't like the threads, don't respond. No one is holding you hostage... or are they?
  13. As soon as the story drops that the Yankees are looking at other players, the trade gets done. It's like clockwork.
  14. So you want a press conference for the military to disclose top secret information about how the US military reacts to defense situations to the general public. Cool.
  15. You guys do realize that this fanbase is at a generational low, right? Like their ratings are near zero, their attendance has fallen to levels not seen in this millennium. There are a ton of Sox fans who have gotten to the point where they aren't bothering at all. I didn't go to a single game all year. I watched less baseball than I have watch since the years immediate following the 1994 strike. I think people are taking the doubt in the sunshine and rainbows of this group and combining with the history of having been this exact same plate of spam many times before, and expressing it when being told this time it is all different.
  16. I will agree with you in that we aren't all older small market sports reporters who have guys like Big O in their memories. Schiff got brought into a rough situation, and then being asked to cover the Sox was automatically going to put him under a microscope.
  17. I know we are seeing the white washing of the 2024 season into they knew this was happening all along, but if you actually watched the moves made in real time, and then the panic that took over when the Sox were a couple of months into a 40 win pace, this was not on purpose. I don't care what we are told, you don't make the moves the Sox made for, and in, the 2024 season if you know you are going to lose 100+ games, let alone 121.
  18. At the end of the day the one person who is most responsible isn't going to change in Jerry Reinsdorf. He's the one who approves the budgets. He's the one gumming up hires and fires. He's the one not approving high end free agent contracts. He's the one hiring GM's without looking outside of the organization for decades now. More even than Getz, as long as Jerry is around, the same problems are going to be present under the surface.
  19. The defense will be helped immensely by an offense who can keep the defense off of the field for longer periods of time.
  20. I know we are in this feedback loop here, but the same stuff has been said over and over to Sox fans. We heard all this about Rick Hahn too. He brought in all of these great hires.n He's going to be able to things that Kenny was never allowed to do. He's got this great farm system. We've done it all before. You will have to excuse those of us who aren't contented by being force fed the same lines we have heard from decade, by the same toothless media who was saying the same stuff about the previous guys, until the coup and now they are all welcome their new alien overlords. I will believe it when I actually see results change.
  21. Because the same lecture on how we should just be happy is way better.
  22. I would much rather see my tax dollars go to educating the general public much better than it currently does, especially in critical thinking.
