  2. I literally laughed out loud and couldn't take the rest of that circle jerk seriously after that. It was the worst season in the history of modern baseball. I really don't want to hear more lies.
  3. And they get into certain prospects in other spots.
  4. This. They won't extend him, and they sure as hell aren't spending real money this winter.
  5. Ew, shoulder surgery? He probably is Dunn for.
  6. I thought the White Sox offer was higher per season, but it was shorter based on both years and total dollars?I twas more like 7/240 if I remember right.
  7. If they had multi year deals, that probably means exactly that.
  8. For the White Sox sake, they can't f*** this up. They either they need Boston to man up, or they need to use the Red Sox offer to extract more from other teams. Look this team blew the Cease deal to some extent, and they blew the Fedde deal big time. They only have a couple of more in demand assets to trade, with Crochet being the diamond. They have got to get at least three starting players out of this deal if they want any hope at moving this rebuild along from the outside.
  9. They both look thrilled to be there.
  10. That report was unreal in the amount of detail it had in it.
  11. This could cost him a hundred million dollars, or more. Is it worth hitting free agency sooner if you take a haircut on your earnings because your employer wasted years of your career in the pen because they didn't want to spend on a reliever.
  12. Sure, but he'd would also be in line for MUCH bigger arb salaries, plus a lot less question marks heading towards free agency which could move him from a Tyler Glasnow type deal, to a Garrett Cole type deal.
  13. They might not even roster the guy. They probably do like the White Sox should and eat the money and move on like a real franchise.
  14. This is not going to happen for YEARS at least. They are still in cut mode.
  15. Look, if you are trying to change people's mind that the hitting prospects are fine, you should probably be able to name more than two decent ones.
  16. Yet one of the biggest and most loyal fanbases in the world.
  17. Nicky Lopez and Mike Soroka for starters.
  18. I mean, they did exactly this last year. Why would it be surprising if they did it again. Honestly, my only hope is that Chris Getz purposefully Major Leagued last year to try to get Jerry to agree to the changes he wanted all along, because any other scenario is worse for Sox fans.
  19. This one I will agree to. Execs are always out there pretending like the guy they ended up with, was the one they wanted all along. I remember the old joke about Mike Trout being the second choice of 29 teams in MLB the year he was drafted.
  20. So it is probably happening.
  21. But we will hear plenty about how great they actually are, and how we shouldn't have expected anything more.
  22. The crowd that thinks we can build around Crochet will lose their minds.
