  1. With Schultz, he MIGHT be a late 2025 arrival, but realistically with his innings limits, he probably should be 2026 when he should finally be projected to around 150 innings. But right now he is at 65 innings with about 3-4 weeks of the season left, pitching in AA ball. He is going to finish around 80 innings, which puts him into the 120-130 range for next season.
  2. It either means they didn't have it lined up, or they are just waiting to say it at the Getz presser this afternoon. With as amateur as this organization is, I have no idea which one it is.
  3. Your punishment for leading the worst team in modern baseball history? Continuing to manage the worst baseball team in modern history.,
  4. We talk about not wanting to hire guys that keep getting passed over, Sandy has been passed over like 50 times by now.
  5. Charlie Montoyo is our current bench coach who will probably be interim. Shumaker is Skip Schumaker, currently managing the Marlins but a lame duck right now who seems to be on the outs in MIA. He has a connection back to TLR and has already been mentioned as a leader for the full time job.
  6. I will echo that he seems to get the public facing side of the job, but the stories about him from different sources don't make him sounds like the same guy behind closed doors.
  7. Glad Tim got to what should have happened two weeks ago, but cool.
  8. I doubt Getz even wastes time pretending it is his choice. They aren't letting Getz pick. Jerry and Tony are picking for him.
  9. Images that precede fortunate events.
  10. Gladney was in that bucket of guys with some loud tool, but also some very flawed part of their game (most typically strikeouts or hit tool) that we were hoping would have a breakout year, but to a man never really did.
  11. I know we joke about guys never working again after managing the White Sox, but I hope this dude saves his money, because I can't imagine who could look at the nuclear destruction of a back to back playoff team that happened under his watch, and thinking that is who I want leading my 2 billion dolllar operation.
  12. Over 100 games under .500 in under two seasons. That is so absurdly bad, like it is hard to comprehend how hard that is to do. I might even be a bit more excited, but I am sure our choices going forward are either Montoyo or Tony's boy Schumaker.
  13. I honestly thought it would never happen. I don't really want to congratulate the organization for doing something any other group would have done months ago, but ok.

We refuse to adjust to 2024 and instead want to run an organization based on how the Brooklyn Dodgers and David Eckstein did it.

That is probably also fair. They don't have to throw him a strike because who is going to drive him in if he walks?
  16. He sounds like everything we hoping Nick Madrigal would be
  17. Indiana kid that won gold.
