  1. I could be down for DePaula, Walker and others.
  2. So one of the Dodges prospects plus Walker?
  3. It could be something like being able to simplify their offerings and minimize their through process in the bullpen. It could also be their stuff just plays up that much more when not having to think about going 100 pitches.
  4. That seems like a reasonable framework of a deal. It would have been nice to pull one more lower level lottery ticket kind of guy, but that isn't awful. And honestly, if it is the leading deal at this point, you probably take it.
  5. I mean that's what I see. If you are saying "he wants to win" as in it is above all else, then absolutely not. If you are saying it as a thing on his list, sure. But isn't at the top fo that list.
  6. He probably wants to win, it just isn't enough of a priority where he is willing to invest enough resources into it.
  7. Victor Scott just screams like a guy Chris Getz would be targeting.
  8. Who else was willing to pay Nicky Lopez $4.3 million?
  9. If they were willing to include a roster player or two as a way to up the package and free up some roster space, we could be in business. A deal starting around Pages and/or Bobby Miller, and then back filling in with a guy like DePaula and others coudl be something to get the Sox attention.
  10. Some awful contracts out there include Trevor Story, Patrick Corbin (though he is done at the end of 24), Javy Baez, Kris Bryant, and Anthony Rendon.
  11. If they move Benny without any salary retention they have just over $30 million the books for 2025. Unless they plan on offering half of a billion dollars to Juan Soto, the idea that they need the cash needs to stop.
  12. Major failure and systemic holes in approach being exposed at the major league level, the specific skills of which the Sox have not been able to address in their own players.
  13. But no one is going to grab those guys early because they aren't that good. They want real guys early.
  14. Getz gets Nachos. Wait, the Sox are trading with the Braves????@?>!?
  15. Those guys are total deadline deals. Teams spend the weeks before trying to get the guys they really want, and then when the fail, they are the fallbacks to get something. No one is going out to get a Tommy Pham or Paul DeJong as a primary target.
  16. It wouldn't shock me if it still happens. It probably won't be as a starter, but as a long man, but pitching is always needed. It won't bring anything worthwhile back either.
  17. He may not want another rebuild, but when you are winning 25% of your games, and have nothing in the pipeline, you are rebuilding.
  18. He did it once and stated this circling of the drain.
  19. Since you mention him, it is probably a decent time to mention two things. -His record without Tom Brady -The game really seemed to pass him by in those last few years.
  20. All of the bats had flaws which the Sox struggle to fix. While we need bats, I am OK with making sure we get a player we know we can develop because you cannot miss on this pick.
