  1. I don't think Elias has grown a set.
  2. The last two days are always the biggest. It will ramp up on a parabolic arc.
  3. Only the good things, not the bad.
  4. When we actually find an offense, for a start.
  5. Instead of losing 9-1, we lose 2-1.
  6. I didn't catch where he was rated in the Jays system, but it slotted into 10th in the M's system.
  7. It's certain that the timing isn't a coincidence.
  8. He's never said he wanted his workload in the regular season altered, only that he didn't want to add to it with the post season if he didn't have insurance for if he was hurt.
  9. He needs to trade them to start the position player talent acquisition phase that we need to push this rebuild along. The problem is you only get one bite at the apple for each of these guys, so if he settles, it is too late. He can wait until the winter with Crochet, but with Robert he has a little more time. The problem is a time delay just pushes the Sox recovery event horizon back by an equal amount of time as it takes to move those players.
  10. I am 100% this is a combination of frustration over the way he has been handled, but also trying to cash in on his status since the White Sox don't seem to want do pay him. He might well have a target team, but I think this is mostly trying to pick his destination and make some money in the process.
  11. The problem is he isn't refusing to do something for the Sox. He's refusing to do it for other teams. I don't think you can punish someone for something they can't do with you anyway. I mean they could try to say there were sending him down for conditioning purposes or something, but it would be one helluva complaint being filed against them.
  12. Yep, that this point it feels like Fedde will be the highest level guy to go. And for this one, I can't really blame Getz. Just hope he doesn't panic.
  13. The non-control guys will all be gone by the deadline. But it isn't like they are big enough to even be in demand early. We'll get our A ball reliever, and DSL wash outs and move on.
  14. Ok maybe it isn't obvious to a couple of people...
  15. Yep, they went the safe route, surprise!
  16. Eh for once, let him spine up. He obviously needs to set a tone so that GMs just don't think if they wait long enough, that they will get what they want out of him.
  17. It only matters what he thinks, and he obviously has a major problem with how he has been handled.
  18. He would have been in his 4th season starting from whenever he was starting. And he could well be thinking that his next contract would have been $400 million instead of $150 million, or whatever pile of s%*# contract the Sox offered him. It might not have been more today, but it would have been a ton more in the long run done right. You are also assuming he doesn't think his TJS wasn't because the Sox were relieving him, which I don't believe he does.
  19. These days, I am not even that sure.
  20. Today? Maybe, at this point in his career? No way. Arb figures are way higher for starters, especially insanely good ones. His $800k for year 4 is $4-5 million if he was a good starter. He also might well feel that relieving was the cause of injuries, which also wouldn't help.
  21. Unless he thinks the Sox fucking around with his career in the pen cost him millions in earnings he could have had by starting since 2021
