  2. This team is the leading contender for the first pick in 26.
  3. The actual Getz presser.
  4. This isn't something that a few free agents would fix. There are somewhere around half a dozen real major leaguers on the roster right now. Pretty much the entire starting line up and the entire bullpens need to be redone, and there is nothing in the pipeline for all practical purposes.
  5. He's on pace to break the franchise lost record for a single by 10-15 games, of course he is a dead man walking. It's either him or Getz, and we know that isn't happening.
  6. Even if you start something around Crawford and Caba, you can back fill some of the more interesting middle of the diamond young hitters they have down in the system.
  7. And if the Sox really want to add him, bid on him in Free Agency like a normal team.
  8. The front office hasn't said a word about the timeline. It's common sense that it will take a long time. The lack of talent you mentioned is why it won't be quick. This franchise, as it stands today is 50 games away from playoff contention, with absolutely zero in the upper minors when it comes to filling the offensive holes. The guys who should have been ready to plug, have mostly flopped this year. It's barren for the immediate future unless we trade for someone else's future players.
  9. That's if he stays. If he leaves, a team can alter the deal.
  10. No one has the exact details, but it is supposed to be 3 years. The thought is a million a year, or probably a bit less.
  11. Bold of you to assume Rafael Ortega won't be back.
  12. Well at least Sox fans seem to be on the right path.
  13. I need a crying react.
  14. The inability to hit a fastball is a huge redflag. I wonder if the back injury is a part of it, or if that is separate.
  15. Well neither has actual baseball, so there is that.
  16. I do agree with the idea that the best Dodgers trade includes guys who are already on the active roster. Pages/Miller/Stone make a lot of sense in the structure, but I really would like to see DePaula be a part of it as well
  17. Burke hadn't pitched since 7/11. It would be nice to know why.
  18. If this it the top of the card, I would be pretty happy with our deadline.
  19. Get Elderly Teammates Zestfully
  20. I quit doing this when TLR and Getz were hired.
  21. 50 games under .500 for a full season is 56-106. The Sox would need to play .500 baseball at 29-29 to win 56 games this year, or win 2 more games in a 58 game stretch than they did in 104 games so far this year. Why highlight 56-106? This is the current record for the most losses in a single season in Sox history.
  22. 50 games under .500. In July.
