Yeah, the kid has been drawing a major league salary for two months, as well as service time. I am sure he didn't want to be injured, but he got lucky he was a Rule 5 pick because he went from the MiLB IL with no money, to somewhere around around $200/250k for being hurt by the time he is cleared for action. -

He is sort of on the 40. He was on the 40, but is on the 60 day DL, so there will have to be an open spot on the 40 for him to be added back to. As of today, it is only 39 people, so they could add him back without making another move on the 40. But if the 40 added another person, they would have to clear a spot for Drohan. 60 day Il guys don't count for the 40 man roster count. -
A near MLB ready top 100 guy gets him out the door for me. I am sure not willing to see if he can sustain this longer term at the expense of someone would could be here in five years. I would love for them to find some OF help.

Once he clears his rehab (which I believe can last up to a month) yes. -
Schriffen says he was aiming at “Sportscasters”

I mean The Score is just basically The View for dudes. They take wacky and outrageous takes to get people riled up and engaged. Talking calm sense doesn't get attention. Whailing at the top of your lungs does. Look at modern politics even. -

I mean yeah, but also it's hard to not take something personal that sure appears to be personal and regular. He's got people chasing him around about it, and asking him about it, so it isn't like it has gone away. -

This is kind of my feeling. The guy has been targeted since day 1 by this group, and when he fires back, he is then supposed to give time to them thus rewarding them for targeting him? Eh, I don't see it. Honestly this whole thing is stupid anyway, and reeks of people who aren't very important trying to make themselves self-important at other people's expense. It would be nice if he just left it alone, but I also get why having bitter people nipping at your heels constantly gets annoying. -

Even if you divide the Chicago market into 2/3 Cubs, and 1/3 for the Sox, that 1/3 of Chicagoland is bigger than pretty much anywhere left as a viable baseball expansion candidate. If someone is going to pay a couple of billion dollars for an expansion team, they could do a LOT worse than the Chicago market, even as a secondary team. In this made up scenario where the Sox leave Chicago, MLB could force JR to leave behind the name and history, which also leaves them a ready made audience for that expansion team instead of building from scratch.
