  1. I can't believe I am agreeing with this guy, but you hit it right on the head. Carlos has worked really hard and made a lot of progress. My biggest complaint is that he still gets very much into ruts... He will only swing for the fences for a while, and then he will only worry about his average for a while.... He needs to work more on game situation hitting, instead of Lee situation hitting.
  2. Pretty much they just need Thomas Jones to get hurt in order to make 2004 a complete s*** sandwich.
  3. Why? They have been practically begged by the Big East and Big 10 to join, and they never have. It obvious the NBC money and scheduling freedom have trumped everything else.
  4. You are a washed up Indians player signed by the Sox?
  5. http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/teamseasons.php?tid=35 One quick list coming up. Look at the history, and the long streak of playoff appearences. Then look at their records over the last few years.
  6. I could agree with that. That is the biggest reason I have loved Aaron since his debut is his work ethic. He butchered some sacrifice bunts badly last year and didn't look comfortable doing it. He also has a pretty decent pull swing, but I would bet he could get some good advice and fix that too. Right now I see him as being more of the lead off, #3 or #6 hitter, depending on who is healthy, and who else is signed for 2005. If Frank isn't healthy to start the season, I would love to see them give ARow a shot at hitting #3.
  7. Then what about the other 20,000 hits?
  8. Spam :headshake I will say this much, at least you didn't Gage the board to do it
  9. Was he with the Mets before MLB tapped him to be the Ex-pros GM?
  10. The only other thing is that mods really don't do a whole lot. They pin/unpin and open/close threads mostly. Its not like they ban or suspend people. I do like the rotation idea because it does bring fresh blood and ideas though.
  11. That isn't the problem. The fact that he can't bunt and he can't swing to hit the ball the other way is what makes him a horrible #2 hitter. If you can't move runners over, you shouldn't hit #2.

  13. If I had to guess, I would think that Uribe will play everyday, but will alternate between 3B, SS, 2B like he did last year. I would guess that we would see all four of the players (Crede, Omar, Uribe, Willie) each play about 120 games.

  15. Rowand is a horrible #2 hitter. He will either hit lead off or Willie will. Omar would be our #2 hitter, trust me.
  16. Gibbons is the same all or nothing OF that we have all over our roster right now. Nothing against the guy, but no thanks. I want us to sign a CFer if we are going to sign another OFer.
  17. It is a joke. Downey is a pretty sharp satireist.
  18. I was hoping for a two year deal in the $6 mil range, but it sounds like there is plenty of interest in Omar, so I am not surprised. We need a number two hitter badly, this is a good deal for the Sox. PLus if he can rub anything off on Willie, this could be a huge shot in the arm.
  19. That sucked. I was so hoping for the upset.
  20. Did anyone really think they would beat Iowa?
  21. :fyou :fyou Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out Eddie... all though you have that 10 million you stole from us in your back pocket to pad it... :fyou :fyou
  22. Jesus, what is it with the Cubs not being able to blame anything on the real problem?? That is totally f***ed up. I am surprised Stone stuck out the season, and that he has been totally quiet about it.

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/10/28/...ain652196.shtml If anyone is interested, CBS has a video of Ashlees practice for the show, and Loren Michaels talking about her voice being messed up. They also have the clip of her running off stage, and looks on everyones faces as it happened
