  1. And just because 15 teams were interested, that doesn't mean 15 teams made a realistic offer either...
  2. I would hate to take a pitcher who has had problems and while coming away from a pitchers paradise. Then again, Sweeney is a walking ER clinic...
  3. Nothing wrong with this deal. The Red Sox need all of the help that they can get.
  4. Lance wins #6 http://sports.espn.go.com/oly/news/story?id=1846113
  5. The peripheral guys are the ones who need to pick it up if we are going to make a run without Frank and Maggs. We know what we are going to get from Pauly, Carlos, and Jose. We need the Crede's, the Uribe's, the Harris's etc, to step up.
  6. There was something about those teams that was fun to watch. Whole bunch of talent that wasn't quite ready yet, but you could see it flashed in some of the things they did. Robin was an incredible mix of leadership by example, incredible clutch hitting, poetic defense (who was better charging the bunt?) and guts. I would take Robin in his prime over any other Chicago 3B without a doubt.
  7. Vs the sametime last year attendance is up about 4000 per game, and 110,000 more people than last year.
  8. Call me silly, but I would rather get another right handed arm... Not that I would complain about Eddie, but I think a power righty arm would be perfect.
  9. Well at least for one day, the Red Sox made their point.
  10. I still can't believe they were using his as a starter. He was OK in recent years as a reliever.
  11. It has been 8 men in just a few days... Blinded by idiology is exactly what we are facing. Fanatics who are so blinded they are violating their own faith, even by the preachings of Al Sadr, who is a sworn enemy of the US. Even he has declared the beheadings and kidnappings "unislamic".
  12. HOF, yes. The only debate is first ballot or not.
  13. 0-43, but who's counting.... Robin Ventura the greatest 3B in Chicago history!!!!

And a welcome addition you have been
  15. Its a RH pitcher and Willie has been swinging the bat much better lately.
  16. Joe "Don't tell me what you hit, tell me when you hit it" Crede
  17. And that is why I love Hawk as an announcer. He LOVES the game of baseball, and his Chicago White Sox.
  18. Oh was this a huge game. This can give the team some huge confidence. Down 4 runs in the 7th, without Maggs, without Frank, Everett was 0-4 and looked bad, Scho got hit hard, and they still managed to do it.
  19. Funny thing, now that countries have started knuckling under to this, the kidnapping rate has increased almost exponetially.
  20. http://www.strikethree.com/01/05/11/michael.shtml Now this and another couple sites say bicep, but other ones say tricep... I wonder which one it is now.?
  21. Damn I could have sworn it was a bicep...
  22. Bicep, not tricep. When Frank did that in 2001, I remember them saying they had never heard that one before.
  23. OK guys here is the deal. This is a relavent thread. I want both of you to drop the arguement in public. If you wish to continue please revert to PMs. And with that I am going to reopen this thread, with the emphasis that this is about 9-11, and not to be a continuation of what was occuring. Any questions or statements can be PMd to me. Thanks all, Michael
