  1. I do think that putting Leury versus a neutral figure (which is what these numbers are trying to show), versus what other teams are getting off of their benches is an important distinction. Not many teams have two starting shortstops on their roster, and I am not sure that the difference is as big as we might think it would be otherwise. So shouldn't be looking at it as how Leury has preformed against would should be about the 15th best SS, we should be comparing him to somewhere between 31 and 60th, which is what a team should be getting off of their bench. Granted it has definitely been expanded with how much extra play Leury has seen between injuries and Tony wanting to get extra rest for certain guys, he has played a lot more than he should have.
  2. Any initial thoughts on the DFA class adding anything?
  3. Look if the Nats want Colas a primary, or even secondary, piece in a trade, you drive him to the airport happily. Even if he hits his absolute potential, he will never be Juan Soto. Never.
  4. That is an awful lot of work to say something that every Sox fan knows, Leury Garcia has been awful this year.
  5. He can hit. That is a weakness for this team.
  6. And yet I am sure they all showed up at the draft camp, but of course they didn't tell us.
  7. They keep saying they expect everyone to be signed, but literally no one has said they have signed except Schultz
  8. If the choice is running JD Martinez or Gavin Sheets out there, I am #TeamJD
  9. The twitterverse just went silent here. Man it must be nice to have a sports media that asks basic questions.
  10. It seems like every time we hit one of these stretches we win just enough games to not fall out, but not enough to catch up. This team is the definition of mediocrity this year. Hopefully the bats are coming to life and we are getting into a good stretch, but man it is hard to have any optimism over the last year. This is a team that has gone 87-84 over its last 171 games since the 2021 all-star break.
  11. Up to 7 UDFAs https://winnquick.com/index.php/2022/07/25/2022-udfa-tracker-white-sox-sign-7-undrafted-free-agents/
  12. I bet the people in your life love your excitement with literal mediocrity. Aim average.
  13. Which probably means Harrison is hurt. Wonderful.
  14. The one who collapsed in the second half? I mean sure.
  15. For the record, pulling Lynn after six I was ok with, as well as using Ruiz there. After 5 relievers the prior day and more in the early game, you were going to use a crappy guy there. With Lynn's knee problems and how awful he has been, getting him out on a high note with low mileage is a good thing. I was more wondering about pulling Eloy with at least one AB to go, and using Kelly so early
  16. Over the hill White Sox whose best days have passed? But enough anout Tony...
  17. Almost the exact same roster was 54-35 at the all star break last year. They were 46-46, or 9.5 games worse this year. This roster is not 10 games worse than last year talent wise, after basically no changes in the off season. This same roster has seen almost every single player put up a markedly worse performances except for a limited few individuals. While this might not be a World Champion roster, it is one that should be lapping the AL Central. Thanks for coming to my #FireTony talk.
  18. Why so Tony LaRussa can appoint another stooge?
  19. This continues to be the dumbest team in baseball.
  20. You want to create an alternative point.
  21. Look, it might hurt your feelings, but if you are the boss of an organization where essentially every single person of substance in your direct reports gets worse and worse at their jobs, said supervisor loses their job. That's true in baseball or any other leadership job. The other thing that has proven HUGELY overrated is Tony's ability to win.
