Adkins is not going to be a starter this year. If he had any chance at all, he would have been sent to Charlotte to stretch out. Adkins future is in the pen. Period. The guy has two pitches. You can get away with that, facing a batter once, maybe twice, but not as a starter. He would get his ass handed to him on a silver platter by the 3rd/4th time through the line up. BTW what happened to Adkins for closer?

I know it sounds bad, but to open on the road and go 3-3 against KC and the Yankees is absolutely fine by me. I am thrilled that we didn't come home 1-5 or something like that. This team seems like it wants to compete.

Really Yankee stadiums rep as a hitters park is only half true. From the lines to just short of LC, RC it has awesome hitters dimensions. But once you get to right and left center, it is really deep. CF is also really deep. Unless you are yanking the ball down the lines (like Maggs did for his 3 run HR) you aren't getting any cheapies.
