He was actually pretty pissed off about it, he argued the call with the ump, but it was the right call. Ed Perez made a great play getting his lower leg down accross the front of the base, giving Carlos no where to touch the base. Fundementally it was a great play by the 1B, a great example for any kids out there. Now if Carlos goes in spikes first, he is safe, or Perez is hurting.

Now if only it were the Twins, Royals, or Cubs trading for Rick WhiteFlag...

I did see Ozzie go back to the lockerroom, as well he should have. there is ZERO excuse for being picked off in the 9th inning, and I remember it happening last year to Carlos as well. He is damned lucky that we won this game dispite his stupidity. If we lose 5-4, he gets crucified. Hopefully Ozzie ripped his ass a new one, so he never forgets this time.

The point is the attitude on the field. They aren't quitting. This might not be the brightest team in MLB, but you don't unlearn 5 years of bad habits in two months. This team gives a s***, that is what matters. That is at least 3 games we have won this year, that the corpseballboys quit and collect their paycheck for. That is 11-7 and a game out of first versus 8-10 and panic reigning in the Southside. Corpseball is dead.

Once AGAIN. This is a game that no team since 2000 wins. After the 2 8th inning runs, the 2001-2003 teams quit and go for the fences. This team scratched and clawed and won another miracle. f*** YES!!!!!!!! :cheers :cheers

Shingo is bad assed, now that I have gotten to watch him a couple of times. There is about a 25 mph difference between his fastball and his slowball (changeup I guess) That is insane. Usually a good pitcher can get 15 mph of varience. Plus he has got a slider that moves straight sideways, and a curveball that just falls straight down. This guy is going to make a lot of hitters look bad. The only problem is, if you guess right, his stuff isn't special, and can be crushed. If you know a pitch is coming, Takatsu can't beat you with it.
