  1. Wow that is a hell of a range. Simply looking at the people who made one prediction there is a range of 72-93 wins I put this up here because I personally am curious, if the Sox make a major move, how much that these will change.

  3. Ah I gotcha. That makes a little more sense. What did you think of ST? Was it in AZ or FL?
  4. Seriously? Damn I would say ST everytime. At least that way you get sun, heat and baseball.
  5. If they trade Zhamnov, they will not win 20 games.

Oh Critic Put a little love in your heart
  7. Yeah maybe they should have heimlich instructsion handed out at the gate of their home games?

Sure we give it PA and he takes it. It is pretty simple really. BTW you know how hard it is to find a good whipping boy now a days? Geesh.
  9. What happened to being able to say whatever you want?
  10. Has anyone heard anymore about the rumor over the demise of the 7 game plan? That is what i used to always get, so that is what I would do again.
  11. I think that was the number the JR personally made, IIRC, not what the team made.
  12. I also just noticed that the Sun Times had the Cubs making a $12 mil offer for two years, and the Trib said it was 2 years at $15 mil. That is a big difference, I wonder which one is true?
  13. There is a thread about Maddux in the Sports Bar, but rumors sound like the Mets could be the darkhorse.

I have also noticed (and myself included) that Pale Hose talk really runs based on how the Sox are doing. If people are pissed off at the team it can be an ugly place to post. Lately with the team not doing anything everyone is either jumping off bridges because we are going to suck next year, or the others are pissed off at all of the bridge jumpers acting like idiots. SL&P seems to be the most relaxed out of all the boards. The only exception to that rule is seems to be when a really contentious thread is going on. Otherwise it is a much more fun place to be. The Sports Bar is still working on getting an idenity. It seems to be becoming the hang out when other sports are going on. Either Bears games or important other sports. I get the feeling it will be a ton of fun during the NCAA tourney.
  17. Yeah they are really going to miss that free ticket money that I am giving them.
  18. It was pretty much a rip off of the Bond music. Damn that was a fun game at the arcade though.
  19. Hell save the money you are paying Jaron not to coach and try to lure Steve Spurrier in as offensive coordinator. But when did common sense ever come into play at Halas Hall?
  20. I am just jumping in with everyone else, I feel left out sometimes, you know all alone. Now if Laura would just come rescue me, everything would be all right, because she is perfect.
  21. For the money this team justifiably should have zero interest in Ivan Rodriguez. He should be a non-issue to Sox fans.
  22. Can you imagine the b****ing if the team had signed these pitchers to long term contracts, much like people are b****ing about not being given to guys like Bartolo Colon now? THIS IS WHY THIS TEAM DOES NOT GIVE PITCHERS LONG TERM CONTRACTS! Heck go back to the last batch of stud pitchers we let go McDowell, Alvarez, and Fernandez. What did they do after they left Chicago? They sure didn't justify the huge contracts that they got once they left. It will be interesting to look at the 2003 staff in say 2007 and see what any of them are doing.
  23. Well I think they picked the best of the two finalists, but the Bears really needed to get a guy with experience. Why fire a coach that the whole team loved and played hard for, if you are going to replace him with a guy with no experience?
  24. Maddux doesn't seem to excited about the offer. It does sound like the Mets could swoop in with a better offer. After missing out on Vlad they have about $10 mil to burn. Plus he might like the idea of reuniting with Tom Glavine.
  25. He did look good yesterday. It is great to see him playing.
