9-7 or even 8-8 can get you into the tourney this year espesially since the Big Ten is going to be way down this year. There are going to be a lot more teams bunched up, instead of some clear distinctions between who should go and who should not. A 10 point victory over the Illini will be a nice piece on their tourney resume.

Forbes #'s are much more respectible IMO. This is a national business publication who's job it is to bring investors reliable #'s to base their investments on. The numbers that MLB releases are PR ploys used to attempt to get concessions from the players union. I know which seems the most believable to me.

Like I said earlier I think the Sox would be a prime takeover target if this were the normal business world. They are so underutilized in the 3rd biggest market in the country. There would be a big chance to make a ton of money quickly. I don't think any other market in the US could offer the potential that an excited Chicago could.
