  1. That ball Robert hit is going to be flat on one side now
  2. Dude is a bamf
  3. Also for the record, this is why Twitter didn't want to take Musk seriously. Problem is once he said he had financing, they had to because of due diligence.
  4. They are going to sue for it. My guess is they settle around the break up fee. Musk is citing cause to not pay the fee. Twitter is going to sue to try to get the deal done, but it is the way to try to get something out of him short of the full $44bil by keeping leverage over him with this lawsuit.
  5. Yeah, he is going to lose something like 9 figures because he doesn't know when to shut up most specifically.
  6. He is officially out now.
  7. I mean it was obvious he was pressing. He was trying to win it himself instead of trusting his teammates. Weird how that happens on a team with zero leadership at the top, right?
  8. Again, for those who don't understand how all of this works.
  9. And as LMM said in Hamilton Burr, close the door on your way out.
  10. Yep, this exactly. What this does is actually allowed him to find a new team quicker instead of waiting for the axe to fall.
  11. I think it goes to if they weren't going to carry him through the winter, why carry him now? They have used the slot for sure.
  12. This was basically known. It comes to down to whether the Sox want to carry him on the 40 man roster over the winter when who knows when he will pitch again. They have done this before to free up roster slots, and it isn't uncommon around baseball. Tyler Johnson is the last one who comes to mind. Typically the try to resign them to a minor league deal because they don't really want them to leave, but they also want the roster slot to protect someone from Rule 5 or something like that. It comes down to is eventual Ryan Burr post surgery worth exposing another player to the draft, or DFAing someone else in the meantime. They are still responsible for his health care and all of that related to his injury until he signs with some one again.
  13. I am sure this was all orchestrated with the though of getting Kane and Toews to want to leave.
  14. Basically it stops them from making another bad contract for a draft pick trade to fill up that space.
  15. All of the best to Duncan.
  16. Flash back to the good ol days (Hawk reacts only) https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/ct-xpm-1986-06-22-8602140807-story.html
  17. I don't care, but I need to get Obama's name into the post, lol. Because where we used to have government protection here, it was derregulated, and companies seek profits first, so they are sending oil overseas where they can sell it for more. This has nothing to do with anything but increasing profit margins at corporations. The "decision" is made by each private company, because that is what the government allowed them to do. Obama had threatened to veto the bill, but it was override proof, so he didn't. For example in the house, 26 Dems joined all of the GOP in voting for this bill. I guess in this day and age that passes for 'bipartisan'.
