  1. To be fair, you were also telling us that the offense was going to wake up, so I am not sure you should be taking a victory lap here.
  2. That seems like a best case scenario. Let's hope they keep contact with the Twins during this time so they have a chance come July and August.
  3. So what is the expected time out for a Type 1 strain?
  4. Crochet shows 60 day IL next to his name, so he isn't counted.
  5. 1 from the DFA of Dallas so far.
  6. This is it right here. 35 times out of 266 games, or right about Grandals BA.
  7. The heaviest amount of Sox potential is in the lower minors.
  8. It's been three starts. Based on his recent history, respectable #5 is in question.
  9. He has been neither healthy, nor a guy has been even decent much lately, which is why no one wanted to give him a real contract. Factor in pitching half of his games in SF recently, and it gets really scary.
  10. If Lance can make it healthy and Cueto stays the luckiest pitcher in baseball.
  11. And the Sox are still hitting like shit. I mean if they had played to a level that would warrant some optimism, sure. But the offense has been terrible. The defense has been about the worst I have seen in decades. The pitching has been up and down. Injuries and TLR are putting guys like Josh Harrison into the line up WAY too often. Inconsistent line ups and starting patterns seem to be not allowing the team to hit any kind of a rhythm. Tim Anderson is probably gone for a couple of months. Sure it COULD happen, but I haven't seen anything to show me that it WILL happen.
  12. It is going to be a lot harder to click with so many players hurt. That affects the talent level. And again, this team just doesn't seem to be interested in playing for anything this year.
  13. Watching this team day after day, you only see flashes of a team that wants to win a division, let alone one that can do it without key players healthy.
  14. Not sure what the scenario is where 190/.200/.276/.476 qualifies as genius is, but I don't think this is it. I would go with signing one of the guys like Baez or Story to a contract where they could now be playing SS as a better situation, but hey. You do you.

I mean for obvious reasons there is no scientific study here, but I get the feeling WAY more deaths would result from these guns being stolen and used in anger by students, by teachers being mistaken in the heat of the moment and being shot, by teachers who lose their cool in the heat of being bullied etc, than would ever possibly be saved by those guns. We know more people die of gun accidents in homes than are ever saved by them, so why would a classroom situation be different?
  16. You want to hit the guy with a career MiLB OBP of .299 in the lead off spot because he has a .310 OBP in 30 PAs this season in MLB. Look I get that a lot of guys are struggling, but that is the definition of a LaRussa line up.
  17. It pretty well killed my father and a ton of other service members and vets through organized and international negligence. It pretended things like radiation sicknesses and Agent Orange didn’t exist so they wouldn't have to treat people for them. My dad was ignored for his Agent Orange related illnesses until the mid 80s, and then was killed by an aggressive Luekemia related to Orange. Currently VA wait times are artificially kept down by either disallowimg visits for certain illnesses or just not allowing people to schedule at all to keep them from being counted. If the VA were a private system they would have beed sued out of existence and closed decades ago.
  18. It's going to have to be the pitching, at least in the immediate term.
  19. Right, because this season has so much to celebrate.
