  1. I can't figure out if TA isn't fully healthy yet, or if he hasn't got any confidence in his leg yet. He really has yet to really let it go, and I think there is something there mentally which is hurting his game.
  2. Which also requires a roster move. I wonder if we see another DLing.
  3. I wasn't even that it was bad, it was so inconsistently bad that it was impossible to adjust to. Its one thing if an ump is giving everyone three inches off of the corner. If that's the case everyone can adjust. But as you can see by the scatter, it was all over the place. The bottom of the zone and the corners were all over the place.
  4. You almost have to sit Abreu today. I can really understand a Sunday line up today.
  5. Let me help. There is more to a baseball player than his batting average. He would lead the White Sox in all of the following categories homers (13 vs 9) RBI (42 vs 35) SB (11 vs 11) SLG (.513 vs .503) Triples (4 vs 2) Runs (36 vs 36) and would be 2nd in TB (106 vs 103) Games (64 vs 55) OPS (.880 vs .813 qualified players) and 3rd in walks.
  6. GOOOOOD NIGHT EVERYBODY!
  7. Come on guys, Tony needs to get to bed.
  8. Vince pretty much has to wear it at this point.
  9. I know it worked, but how the F do you pitch to Vlad there?
  10. Now THAT was were you use Jake Burger.
  11. Why didn't the Sox sign more relievers this winter?
  12. Gausman is not coming to a stop in the stretch with runners on. It's a balk every time.
  13. I love that there is someone mocking Yoan Moncada's health, in favor of Jake Burgers. You just can't make this stuff up.
  14. Let me put it this way. If Burger has two step range at 3rd on hard hit balls, while Yoan Moncada has three, it just means that more balls are going to get past Burger into RF for either singles or doubles. If he doesn't get to them, they aren't giving him an error on them. It is the same as RF where if Adam Engel has 15 step range, and Andrew Vaughn has 10, it just means more balls are getting down for hits in the OF with Vaughn. It doesn't mean that either is going to get more errors. Besides the reason Burger has been making errors lately isn't because of his range or lack there of, its because his hands are awful. His transition from fielding to throwing is really bad.
  15. You are going to have more options for balls off of your glove with range, versus without.
  16. You argued that lack of range creates errors at 3rd, but not in RF. That is patently false.
  17. It's the same in that you don't get errors for each. You said a ball out of range in the OF is just a hit. It's the same thing in the IF. You don't get errors at 3rd for a ball that is out of your range.
  18. That's not really accurate. Not getting to a ball at 3B is the same as not getting to ball in RF. It affects your range factor, but you probably aren't getting an error unless it goes completely under your glove or something. But in both cases why you would get an error would be similar. Booting a ball in the IF and booting a ball in the OF are also similar in that those are what you get an error for. The one advantage the 3B gets is sometimes errors hide in things like botched double plays where you can get one out, but not the two you should have got, as we have seen many times this year. The other thing of note is that what Burger and Vaughn are doing defensively isn't really relevant to each other, because they aren't in competition with each other for a defensive position.
  19. I want to go on record as saying I fully support Andrew Vaughn hitting .500 for the rest of this season.
  20. Definitely bold, but yes, I would imagine that Andrew Vaughn will not continue to hit .500 this season.
  21. TBH, my guess is Tony told them to throttle it down to avoid injuries. It makes more sense to me than he is just willfully ignoring that players are being lazy.
