  1. I have seen some good ones, but replacing Moncada with Burger ranks high.
  2. You are twisting yourself into knots trying to will something into reality that never happened. Tony said he missed the sign. The rest of this is a fantasy.
  3. STOP MAKING STUFF UP!
  4. One that has missed years with injuries? I don't buy it.
  5. For the 78th time, Tony told the press that Yermin missed the sign. The rest of it is exactly why Tony is out of touch with the modern game. Instead of talking to Yermin like a man, he spent days talking to the press. The ONLY reason this got legs is because Tony had to make himself the center of attention by repeatedly talking to the press about it. If he could shut up and keep it in the locker room, no one ever knows and the controversy never happens.
  6. Who is looking for his skillset?
  7. What Gavin does in his personal life... Oh wait.
  8. Yoan has seemed to be in a bad mental state the last few days too. His ABs looked bad, like had no approach. I get trying to give him a day off here.
  9. Anderson is back, Moncada off, Lamb in RF, Mendick at 3B. Vaughn hitting 3rd.
  10. Yes, minimum time missed is 3 days, but up to 7.
  11. Not sure what your qualifications are exactly, but Tim Anderson is the one on the top end, but on the bottom end, they turned 19th and 22nd rounders in Adam Engel and Danny Mendick into useful roster pieces for sure. Most of the recent picks are still really young, but there is some big time starts by some guys in the minors, we will see if they sustain it or not.
  12. Carlos Rodon syndrome. I swear the longer a player is around, the harder they get looked at, and teams spend more time picking them apart, where the new guy doesn't have those faults picked out yet. Its some classic overthinking.
  13. Again, coming from the family originally, I think it has legs. If it comes from anyone else, probably not. But it tells a story. 70 year employee gets their name taken down, plaque thrown in the trash, is a story no matter what.
  14. I think the fact it came out from the family's reaction to it makes that not necessarily true.
  15. Honestly, I wonder if he knew how many outs there were.
  16. I'd go with a trough urinal, but a storage closet isn't bad either.
  17. I know it is unpopular, but I hate the 1983 jerseys. I hated them then, I hate them know. The block SOX logo is awful. I like the batter logo that the subbed in on the recent version, but the originals were just bleh. By far the worst of any of the logos the Sox have had.
  18. I also think we are missing the most important factor here. What does Chris Sale think?
  19. I thought it was a pretty cool way to honor an employee. The Sox have historically not been known for much in the positive camp, but working for them is supposed to be a very good thing. They are supposed to take care of their own. I know the significant portion of the people who don't understand why this would upset people are here because Tony's name got attached to this, but it shouldn't matter whose name got put on the sign. It sounds like the team didn't do a good job of communicating with this family about this change. That is where the problem is/was. Once this did break, the team did what they could to involve the family and try to fix the matter. People need to separate out TLR from this and imagine how it would look if you loved on gave their life to an organization, they were honored, and then quietly dumped (in their perspective). The TLR angle just brought a crowd into this subject who can't be rational anyway and distracted from the real issue.
  20. You know what would go great with these? Gold chains. I love it.
  21. "morals" to be more accurate.
  22. Come on. Like anyone was thinking, "Billy Hamilton 0-2 and 2 outs? Perfect!"
